Lyte you are dumb :) "GG EZ" is toxic? Yet rioters say EASY during LCS all the time?
Nice logic Lyte, you are high on something good, go tell Phreak and all the other LCS commentators to stfu and not say EASY or REKT, because it is toxic, kappa.

Apples and oranges bro.
In-game, gg ez never comes across as a polite statement. It's either "we shitstomped you and want you to feel bad." Or, it's "this was a really close game but fuck you, I'm better because we won." There's also the occasional gg ez from the losing team. But that's either butthurt or sarcasm. But on the two typical times you'd see gg ez, it's said maliciously. "it was a joke lay off lol." No, it wasn't. Not the player perceiving it. If it was really meant as joke, and someone took it the wrong way, apologize.
Rioters saying easy during the LCS is absolutely different. It's an observation. For one thing, the Rioters aren't playing the game. They're casting it. When the solo laner is out of position and gets 3 man ganked, yes, it was an easy kill. When Fnatic went 18-0 and took first place in EU, yes, one could say it was an easy split (it wasn't). "Oh but like you said it hurts the players feelings when the casters say it was easy." Does it? Good. This is their job. This is their life. If they're feeding easy kills, they're not performing. They're not doing what they're getting paid to do.
"What if I'm observing that I had an easy game?" Be nice about it then. Give constructive criticism. "Hey man, you made it kinda easy for me to counter jungle." "Or, watch your positioning next game." Yeah, people can take offense to that too, but at least it doesn't immediately sound like you're out to make them mad.
tl;dr: gg ez is said maliciously. Always. If not, apologize for it coming out wrong. No, it's not their fault for taking it the wrong way. Casters saying something is easy is an observation. They're not trying to hurt the player, even if criticizing them. They're telling what we they see and interpret.
He's got a point. Rioters shouldn't be above the double standard.
To put everything in the simplest form:
Context matters, not words.

Yeh, words have no meaning, kappa. When riot says it its ok, when we say it its not ok.

Not sure if you're trolling with this, but it seems you missed the mark entirely.
Point is, what hurts people is the intention behind the words and not the words themselves, hence only context matters.
that sht is annoying...cause you're lying it wasnt easy n u were in 45min match... easy my ass...its annoying n non sportsmanlike.
OP makes a fair point. A lot of things seem to be allowed in the LCS that generally aren't tolerated by players, like some of the smack talk between TSM and CLG.
Personally though, I don't feel the need to say "gg ez" after a game because I don't have micropenis.

If caster's say it about any play made for BOTH teams why the problem. They are not directing negativity or anything towards anyone just stating fact.
Example: Caster see's Blue team JG recall at a crucial opportunity...or Red Teams Top laner get greedy for CS and stay under tower level 5 with 200 health.
Caster is allowed to say it was an easy Dragon for Blue or easy kill for Blue....due to Fact!
But you will NEVER hear a caster...even in a seeded game where it's 10th Seed Vs 1st Seed say "GG EASY, 1st Seed"
Hope this helps..
Also please don't be that troll that say's "Well if the GAME WAS EASY saying GG Easy is just Fact"
The community has decided what is toxic, not Lyte. The casters aren't trying to antagonize the teams; there's a big difference. Have you ever been restricted or banned?
Who says we players are antagonizing the teams? If a game was easy, why can't you say EASY? Why can riot say EASY?
I guess someone loves being bitch slapped randomly.
GG EZ is on the same level of a curse word. it's not rare for that word to mean almost nothing important. But it's because of how you said it or what the word replaces that it's now "bad". So it's a negative word/phrase. Saying GG EZ is the same as putting down your opponent. Which is bad sportsmanship.
It doesn't help that most of the games like this are either drawn out games that the victor was just so pumped up over winning they say it anyway. Or games that involve a 4v5/feeder/troll, where the other team is already in a foul mood and doesn't need your crap.
Saying easy, GG EZ, easiest game of my life, (EZ)real are all poor sportsmanship. Simple as that. It's different from someone watching saying it and someone in the game saying it to the other team. If I watch a game and it looks like one said had it easy, I can say it. I'm stating a fact. When you do it to the enemy's face you are deliberately putting them down. You may be stating a fact, but you do not have to say it to them.
It's the same as seeing someone who got a bad hair cut. You can tell by their face they are not happy with it. But you go up and say "Your hair looks bad". Stating a fact or not, you don't need to say that. If you cannot understand that, then I don't think you have any right to talk to Lyte about what's right or wrong when it comes to communication between people. He's likely(I haven't looked up any proof) got a degree. You have a "but look, double standard! kappa".
You basically told the other team they sucked. Would be the short version. How is that good sportsmanship?
