Implement a damn f*k report system for champion select already.

How much trolls got away from threatening and troll picking in champion select? Why can't we report people in champ select or a matter of fact OUT OF GAME?

Had to play with a trash support Yasou who just bought the skin and automatically wants to play him in rank with a history of 3.0 / 6.3 / 3.9 as support ruining everyone on my team experience and no don't use the off meta B.S as a excuse.

Whenever you report someone for negative in-game behaviors, such as Feeding, Harassment, ect. the data collected and forward to Riot includes everything relevant to that game.

Including champion selections, pre-game chat, post-game chat, death location data, ect.

So if someone has picked an out of standard location champion in order to intentionally feed (especially if conveyed in the traditional pre-game chat of "Give me X or I will troll/feed" ), the data submitted with your end-of-game report will show this.

That said, to clarify, picking something 'Out of Meta' has never been nor ever will be a punishable offense. If someone wants to try something unique and honestly puts their heart into playing their best then that has never been a violation of any rules.

Yes, it does raise hairs when someone does this in Ranked, but try to keep cool and do your best regardless. ^_^

Yes but Sakuri this is the problem you HAVE to play with them first then you can report and chances are you will lose the match which is rank. I forgot to put in that yes we can report them after game but we HAVE to play with them first to report them and there is another problem.

The troll can say "Well I'm going to feed if I don't get mid" but we might be lucky if we have a team mate who would dodge for us when we are on our promo that means the troll can't be reported while the nice person loses IP, That's the major problem if you ask me since the troll can get away without being reported or punished and trust me some people would rather dodge then play with a troll.

Also thanks for replying to my post at least a person gives feed back.

You're welcome. :3 Personally though I think it's at least better to give people the rope first. Then if they hang themselves well...at least they had the chance not to.

For example, I've been experimenting with Support Vi lately and sometimes I get pre-game chat that basically amounts to the whole "If you lock that I'm going to troll". So far? I've been lucky in that no one has followed through. And we actually won those game to boot! So if I'd reported them/canceled the game we wouldn't have gotten those wins.

It does bite that when cases like that go south it does have the side effect of hurting your promos/important games. But when there's a substantial risk of 'False Positive Punishment' Riot historically tries to lean as far on the 'I will give you a chance first' line of things.

I'm sorry I can't offer anything more really than a rundown of the 'why' things are the way they are. But if you makes it feel better they are working on systems to generally improve the community.

The Wardens, the revamped Honor system, and the 'discuss this chat log' they've been running in Player Behavior are all changes that are slowly being rolled out to try and make League of Legends more pleasant as a whole.

We'll get there. Some day.

I find that the ones playing off meta champions in off meta roles are the ones getting flamed and reported.

It'd be helpful to remind everyone via client link that playing off meta isn't reportable. Especially when you play the objective and try to win rather than just being a meat shield.

I realize you are taking "Riot voice/stance" on this. My (and OP's) comments are directed toward that, not you personally.

But if Riot expects us to take 20+ minutes of our time and a game loss (including loss of LP for a league game) report a champ select troll, and they will not pay us real money to do so, then Riot is out of their minds.

I work 2 jobs. 60 hours per week. The little time I have to play League, I want to play League, not deal with children who know they can throw a tantrum to get their way before a game even starts.

So it's well past time we get reporting in champ select. I don't mind the dodge penalties I'll suffer afterwards, I just want there to be a concrete way of stopping these trolls without inconveniencing 9 other players for a cumulative 3+ hours of their time.

So what about that support singed?

People have to understand this and I felt sorry for the Rioter who got the backlash for this but he was playing singed support with out telling his team and trust me when you get to diamond people get mad because they are trying to climb. You might think it's fine and all but for him to be reported so much times mean the team seriously hate when they get a sing support which I would never want to have too, this goes for the nunu smite support guy problem people even came out who played with him in the past saying he was actually toxic too and in champion select when they try to communicate with him he would just say "I don't care" <This nunu guy has a stream too.

as an offender i have to tell you i cant support if i dont have a support champion or support runes. thats the case for a lo of people, thats why a champion select report cant exist, because people are just gonna report new players for saying they cant support because they dont have supp champions.

I get the feeling that it's because if players had the power to punish people who weren't going to stick to their biased opinions on what is, and isn't, acceptable to play in what position. Then simply picking a champion who is low tier would then result in reports of people.

Oh you picked Sivir ADC? Don't you know she's fucking trash in solo queue? Report.

My friend tends to play Pantheon support. If this was allowed, then he'd get reported probably 1-2 times at the start of every match despite, in his current elo, having about a 70% win rate with pantheon support.

Too many people don't care about results before the game starts, but then act like this game is a representative of the results of the pick. Pick something off meta? Trolling. Lose with something off-meta in a single instance? Clearly it's objectively bad. Continuing with my friend as an example, if you have a 70% win rate on pantheon support, that 30% loss rate COMES FROM SOMEWHERE. Just because from your bias subjective view, it's a 100% loss rate, doesn't mean that you should be reporting the person. In fact, i'd extend this even to below 50% win rates. I doubt you're reporting the xin jungle player with a 40% win rate on xin jungle.

This logic remains valid even when taken to the extreme. Which pretty much can be summarized as this. #Don't report ANYONE based on their selected champion.

Maybe they haven't because the system would be abusable in many cases? kicking function is a nogo, but reporting is perfectly fine.

You can't really report the Yasuo for first timing the little shit in support (ranked). You just dodge. It's not against the rules to first time. Yasuo support is terrible and you should never play it, but playing it isn't against the rules. Just dodge.
