Does GP W remove Chilled from anivia abilities?
The effect itself is supposedly a slow and is apparently affected by tenacity. Wouldn't that mean that it's a CC that can be removed to prevent the additional damage from her E?

I think it removes the slow. Not the affect of being Chilled. Similar to if GP steps on a caitlyn trap. He can W to remove the root, but Caitlyn still has the Headshot on him still.

Actually I managed to find it on the wiki just now. It does confirm that if you QSS the chilled effect then it removes the effect and her E then deals standard damage instead of double.
''Chilled'' directly refers to being Crowd controlled by one of Anivias spells. It's not ''affected by crowd controll'' because that would make the empowered E damage way too accessable. tl;dr, any champion that can remove/ignore CC can counter her QE (or EQ for advanced birds) combo. Her R E combo however, constantly re-applies the slow, so GP can't counter it.

The "Chilled" is actually its own effect and is a crowd control. You can look at it on the wiki. Chilled is a slow that's applied upon taking damage from her Q (stun or not) which will last for 3 seconds, or it's applied for 1 second by a tick of anivia's ult.
Well unless the slow re-applies (like her ultimate) Gangplank can orange it.

Yep, just found that on the wiki as well.
