Takes too long to get "Sightstone" now.
With bot lane still being fiestaland, sometimes we want early vision. Can't spend that first 800 on SS now if we choose too...gotta wait for the dumb quest and hope a couple yellow wards gets us by until then.

It doesn't take long at all to get a sightstone now. I get one as support in about 7-8 minutes.
It's only slow if you go 
(and only if on a champ that can't abuse it vs a counter) and 
(Because it's innately the weakest gold item.
Now...... they all literally get it quicker, because you only have to build a Tier 2 item to get wards).
I don't know how you're figuring it's slower, since before you at least needed to 800G a gold item and then 800g ANOTHER Sightstone to get them.

I play healers, so that 800 gold can go to Idol 10/10 times now
