PSA : Warding doesn't help if you don't check the mini.

I just want to point out that when it comes to suggestions on the boards, you often see "ward", "ward more", "ward anything". As a supp main, I love that others are trying to get less informed players to do this.

HOWEVER, warding does nothing if you aren't paying attn to where you warded (i.e. use the mini).

I often get so proud of my Top for just warding their river bush, only to get ganked 30s later because they pushed too far and didn't bother to look at the ward to see the enemy jg sneaking up.

This really tilts me as a support main. So many ADC's got killed early game because my Trinket was on CD and they never used theirs.

PSA: Warding also gives vision to the rest of your team That way, if the enemy jungler is near your ward, everyone on the team who notices should ping danger, because chances are if it was for only a few seconds you probably missed them

I once forgot to check my min-imap every 3 seconds when I was playing as Yorick, and the enemy Riv tp'd in through the river and came with her jungler Jax .

That's the story of how I got a double kill by not looking at my mini-map

Additional PSA: Control wards are only 75g. There's several spots on the map on your side where that ward will last quite awhile. Everybody is more than capable to place it in one of those spots, and will be able to see if somebody is coming in from behind/roaming to a lane/invading.

i love when the junglers bitch at me for no vision when i have all 3 of my wards and a pink down. wish i could ping the 3 of 3 wards placed.

Actually, that sounds like a pretty good idea. Maybe in addition when you do that have a silent minimap blip on each of your wards (pink blip for the pink).

Obviously, on a 10+ second timer cause that could get real obnoxious as a spam.

I usually play in a premade of discord friends.

We ALWAYS ping each other when we see a gank coming. Even say in discord "Gank coming here"

Ban PSA from the boards please.

I am a noob, I main support. 75% of games I lose, my team comes somehow to the conclusion: "Bad support, never warded."

Since the release of vision score, nobody has come even close to my vision score, sometimes I have more score than both teams combined.

Apparently [supports not warding] was setup by Riot as the default reason for losing a game.

Which is why as a JG main, I always watch the map. No, not every 3 seconds. TWENTY FOUR SEVEN. The only time I ever take my eyes off it is when I gank. I know how hard it is to try and get cs while watching the map at the same time, which is why I always watch the map for the team, and ping every time I see a gank coming. Best of all, I get a control ward at the start of the game, and after I get my first JG clear, I plot that ward near the bush between mid and bot, so it covers both a gank to bot, and a gank to mid from the right side.

Yea but, if you simply place a ward as a toplaner and you happen to be trading or something and didn't see that elise walking down the river about to gank you. Your support/jg usually will/can spam ping it out for you in advance simply because you warded it. Though it's obviously better to pay attention to the map yourself.
