So I took a look at what Wind Walk doesn't block

So I saw a few threads mentioned about how certain things shouldn't be blocked by Yasuo Wind Wall, but I decided to look at what exactly doesn't exactly get blocked by a wall of fuck you winds.

And gameplay mechanic wise, it makes sense

But visually it's fucking confusing

Here are the things that cannot be blocked by Wind Wall for those that are too lazy to look it up:

The following champions basic attacks: Azir Thresh Velkoz and Viktor after he uses his Q (no explanation why, just cause)

Chogath's Rupture (Makes sense, wind can't block what comes from under- RekSai, never mind) Ekko's Parallel Convergence (When you call a version of you from an alternate timeline to bat a device, I don't think wind can warp time and space like that, then again I haven't tried to make wind do that, so it's up to debate) Kayle's Righteous Fury (Fire so hot it cannot be blown away by mere wind, take that Brand!) Nautilus's Depth Charge (See Cho'Gath, though technically speaking Naut's E is coming underground as well, confusions) Xerath's Rite of the Arcane (Makes sense, that wind wall is wide, not tall, and Xerath is punting those things) Velkoz's Tetonic Distipution (See Xerath, but not as much air time, though how come his Void Rift isn't like that?) TahmKench's Tongue Lash..... TahmKench's Tongue Lash....

So let me get this straight, a Tongue can bypass a wall of wind, a wall of wind that can block rockets, lasers, sound, water, wine, fists, anchors, hooks, magic, sometimes stuff underground, blood, birds, Grave's Cigar, bandages, cleavers, and almost every possible ranged attack that can be normally fired. But a Tongue, that's something you can't block, maybe it's because he's a demon but still, Yasuo didn't train someone trying to lick him from a distance.

You'd think the wall would either block everything, or the things it could block would.. you know... be consistent? Again, they make sense with gameplay mechanic wise, but it's still visually confusing as fuck.

Draven Here's a specially delivery from Draaaaaaven! Yasuo I think not Noxian! (uses Wind Wall) Draven (growls and mumbles stuff under his breath) TahmKench Something wrong there, my fined mustached comrade? Draven That damn Ionian blocked Draaaaaven's Axe and denied my the glory I deserved with his fancy wind wall trick! Yasuo Nothing can break through my wind! TahmKench Oh really? (Tongue passes through wall and bitchslaps Yasuo) Yasuo What the?!? TahmKench You're as quick as a turtle on molasses. Hey Nautilus m'boy, come here! Nautilus Yeah? TahmKench Our Noxian Champion is having some trouble having his axe break through the both the wall of wind and the ego of the swordsman there, got anything to break either or? Nautilus Well, let's try this out (uses Depth Charge, the explosion goes under the wall and send Yasou airborn) Yasuo THIS ISN'T HAPPENING! Draven Draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaven agrees TahmKench An underground attack! Your mind is as big as the Anchor you so easily swing around! Nautilus It's nothing, you learn a few tricks after being abandoned underwater and left to die, speaking of which, how come you weren't there to make me one of you "deals", I'd have been saved, and you'd have a free meal of my crew who let me drown. TahmKench Your hunger for revenge is a solo man's journey, and no river I can offer is fast enough to take you there. Nautilus Cryptic Demo- HEY HE'S GETTING AWAY! Yasuo THISISJUSTADREAMTHISISJUSTADREAMTHISISJUSTADR- (gets an arcane meteor crashing through his head, killing him as his lifeless body drops headless) Xerath TOUCHDOWN! (begins dancing) TahmKench Nautilus (they look at each other, shrug, and join Xerath in his dance) Draven Draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaven has no idea what is going on!

I did this icon story for no other reason than to make you reading this at least somewhat worth your time...

TahmKench Knowing his tongue bypasses Yasuo's Wind Wall makes me want to play him even more now. And I already consider him one of my mains.

Wait, what? He doesnt block Tahm's Q?

Huh, thats weird. Most of the other stuff he can/can not block make sense because in general, the difference between projectile and non-projectile is clear as day, but this one is just awkward.

Why does that one gorilla have a more human like body?

also:

confused things(there's a lot of other stuff he obviously doesn't block): Xerath 's Q, W both can go through Velkoz Lux ult (i think) Annie Q( no damage, can stun)

thats what at the top of my head ;p

Yes, it does block Tahm's Q. Also, it has weird interaction with Pick a Card. You can't wall even though the projectile has pretty much already hit you and still dissipate it. You need to wall it before he throws it, makes it really easy for me to bait out his windwalls.

Tahm's Q is a ranged melee attack IIRC, similar to Zac's Q, so it wouldn't be blocked by a Wind Wall.

Viktor's Q uses a projectile and can be Windwalled, but the enhanced auto doesn't and that's why it cannot be windwalled. Azir and Velkoz autos do not use projectiles so they cannot be windwalled.

last I checked, Tahm's tongue is blocked by the wind-wall. the minions he spits, however, are not. You may wish to recheck your data on this one.

edit: for clarity, I've been playing Top Kench alot lately, and I specifically remember my Q (tongue lash) blocked by a yasuo, though I then used the spit of devour from a minion to kill him.

Vik's Q AA isn't a projectile, it's in the same boat as the others, it doesn't travel. Just hits. But yeah, Vel's Rift is just bizarre, wind blocking a tear in space is laughable.
