Well at least Riot says plat+ is where people start to actually play the game the way it was designed.

But the amount of trash I see on these boards on a daily basis is staggering.

So many unranked people who spam Arams claim to know things about balance, and demand the most stupid changes, it's aggravating.

Ok here come the butthurt silvers claiming that you don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand how rockets work because they think they understand how the game works when they read mobafire guides

Many casters and coaches arent high ranked. You dont nescessarily need a high rank to analyze balance.

What about people like me who have been playing the game since Alpha but choose not to play ranked? People can install the game, plow through their ranked series and make it into Plat in like a month if they played nonstop (not saying it happens, its just hypothetical). That doesn't mean he knows more about the game than me; and if you think it does, then you're part of the problem.

You don't have to read all threads. If you see a good one made by someone you respect enough for whatsoever reason that you value their opinion, support it and ignore the others.

I've met people as high as master tier that don't know how basic game mechanics work, rank doesn't make someone automatically knowledgeable.

The silver unranked garbage constitutes the majority of the League population, simply ignoring them can potentially hit Rito's bottom line. Simple formula.

What people tend to forget is that in different elo tiers, different balance rules apply. One simple example: In low elo, you can destroy people with brainless champs like Annie, whereas in high elo, she will most likely be counterplayed. So, is Annie now OP with her point and click stun and her strong ult? The answer differs from elo to elo.

Funfact: Sometimes, higher elo players have trouble in low elo, too. Aiming your skillshot in the direction the enemy will most likely dodge to? Well, you just missed it, because low elo players do not dodge at all.

In conclusion, every player has probably a good idea about the balance in their own elo region, but not beyond or below that.

PS: OP says players < Plat are too "stupid" to know about League? Nice Plat player attitude cliché.

Politly, how the game plays out is vastly different across the elos. I think the biggest frustration is that folks treat the game like viability or mechanics are the same across the board. Azir might be strong in higher play, but in a legit non smurfed bronze he is likely a weak pick.
