Might be that her living suit, being a Void creature itself, consumes and digests their prey. It then feeds the human host via an unknown method.
Or maybe they're fused enough for their digestive systems to become one, allowing her to survive off of Void flesh.

Maybe this could mean void creatures are indeed edible or there is edible plant life in the void. There must also be sources of drinking water somewhere. I have a theory that that’s voiding blood to show how much of a boss she is, or it’s void pee to scare off the little ones, but might attract big ones.
