"I'm high/Drunk" in ranked needs to be a bannable offense

If you want to ban people for ruining games, then we'd have to ban feeders. Never going to happen.

You can't prove it just from them saying it and they could possibly be using it as an excuse for playing bad

I agree, however, there is one thing that is unprovable.

They may have climbed their entire ranked career drunk/high. Meaning that they are actually AT the ELO they belong while drunk/high. In such a case, a loss is actually not their fault, because their drunk/high self is of appropriate skill to play proficiently at that rank.

Example: I don't drink or do drugs anymore. But if I did? There is no way you could report me for that at a silver 5 rank, because even impaired I could climb there. But if I was drunk playing in gold/plat? Then yeah, I guess you'd have to carry me. I'll be useless.

There's also the issue of mental illness. Someone might be drinking to cope with something. And they might be playing just as bad as the person who is playing after a severe emotional trauma. In both cases they would both be distracted and play horrible. But your post doesn't cover the latter kind of people (people who are mentally ruined but not on drugs). They would both ruin ranked games, but under a rule like this.... Only one would be punished. And you don't know why a person is drinking. They could be having just as hard of a time as the person who's playing after their parents died.

There is no way to determine the "I'm intentionally drinking just to ruin your game" people.

What next, a breathalyzer required to login to the client? There isn't currently a method for verifying this isn't just kids clowning around with words trying to look "cool", chill out.

Its not just other people's ranked games. The ranked games also belong to the person in question. This quote makes it sound like the user has no right to the game lol.

As long as their goal is to win the game there should not be a punishment for the condition of your mental state.

I think it shouldn't be a serious ban of something like 2 weeks, it should just be a 12/24 hour ban that way the shit is out of their system before they are able to play again.

i quit playing league, but just about the only time I would play was if i were drunk or high. The best part about doing that is the few times I'd play sober it was like I was a smurf. It's just a game, people should be having fun

It’ll help if bannable offenses do something more then make someone make a new account to circumvente the ban, which usually leads to more toxicity.

Also, smurf accounts just for being a troll/bannable offenses and it not mattering because you have another account/can make a new one. There is no holding up any type of ban when this is how things are.

lol please, i've seen drunks and high people do actual JOBs better and more proficient than sober people. lots of the time people just type that as an excuse for doing poorly its no different than "Lag", "you got lucky", "one sec babys crying", "my sister started annoying me sorry", "My waterplace is on fire". also you can't prove they are actually drunk / high. and this would be detrimental to the game if people started getting banned for just saying that. there is far bigger issues than banning these people.
