In order to stop abuse cases like relic shield or spellthief's from frostfang, why not add a new passive for supports that incentives their playstyle and goes against other laners:

  • Gold income from assists is increased to kill gold (300G) but kill gold is instead halved or reduced to assist gold (150G). This effect activates for one assist in a certain timeframe. Assists afterwards are decreased by 100G.

The play style of supports is to get kills though, so your point is ?

I don't see like this decreases abusive unless you changed the current mechanics in your mind without saying so.

I see your suggestion critically because you give players a reason to not go for proactive plays when their incentive is down.
