Climbing out of bronze is easier than you think.

I've had trouble in the past climbing out of bronze, and recently I've been climbing really quickly recently. In fact, even out of bronze, I feel like I still have the upper hand on many people who play in this elo. So here goes nothing~

  1. Pick out a diehard main. And by diehard main, I don't mean "hmm, well i main syndra but i also play a little of every mid laner in ranked" - what I mean is literally find a champion that you love to play, a champion that clicks to your playstyle, and play it night and day. don't pick a main based on the meta. you can main urgot, and as long as you're good with him you can STILL climb. I started maining diana last year; she wasn't in a good position. 300k mastery points later, and I can pretty much get a kill right after level 6, & then snowball out of control. Not because she's a crazy-broken champion, but because having a main is meant to be rewarding. Have a few backups too; like for me, it's ahri or orianna. practice on those 3 champions. and then maybe a champion for the other roles. Champions in league have a really complex kit; therefore having so much experience on a champion gives you sooo much leverage in games.

  1. Fix your CS. I'm someone who hasn't perfected this yet, but if you still get 50 cs in 20 minutes, I can guarantee that you're not leaving bronze until that changes. Aim for 145+ in 20 minutes. Of course, as you climb, this number should improve. Always keep in mind that 19 cs = almost 1 kill. So if you're 19 cs ahead of their laner, you're on your way to getting a snowball started :3

  2. Stop starting fights with your team. In fact, mute all before the game starts. Bronzies have nothing USEFUL to say anyway. Fact is, a lot of them is garbage; and you're right, if you have a horrible feeding team mate, it's going to be harder for you to win that game. But every game is possible to win, no matter what the odds are. Do the best YOU can, if you spend your whole time trying to tilt your own teammates, you deserve to lose.

_and the most important tip to remember is... _

  1. Kills mean nothing. Imagine that you're an ahri, at 3/3/6 in 35 mins. You have a yi going 14/9/0 who's going around killing everyone. Yes; he's fed, and he's useful, but he clearly has the enemy under control. Instead of trying to ks him, seize this opportunity by going to splitpush a lane with your Q, or getting objectives. People in bronze can't handle map pressure. Apply it when you can! if you spend your whole time running after the enemy trying to get an ace, chances are, you're wasting the opportunity to get a dragon, baron, or even pushing a side lane.

disclaimer, im not high elo. But I did climb out of bronze alone. and this is a tip to those who are struggling. I'm nowhere near good, so if you came here trying to prove that I suck, you're missing a major point in this post.

otherwise, thanks for reading!

you know what is the sad Thing? i can confirm this...i climbed from bronze 3 into silver 5 within 2 weeks, and while bronze is easy as a elo because of this lack of orientation, the second you hit silver you can pretty much ditch the advices alltogether.

BUT that is another story. it is actually true, Snowballing and splitpushing in bronze is a major key, as a zedmain every time i got fed i went to push bot or top Tower then got myself a free dragon, went for 2-3 kills after stealing their red, grabbed myself another objective, hell, sometimes i even went proxyfarming to deny them any pushing power and it works WONDERS.

i am not belittling bronze, i have come across my fair share of naturals and talented people who have admittedly whopped the Floor with my ugly face, but bronze as a majority lacks the necessary orientation and countermeasures.

note, that does not mean you will never meet people like what this post and i describe, even in bronze there are smart people who will deny you splitpushing and make sure to shut you down if you get out of control, while bronze may be easy, it is no win handed on a silverplate, and i learned it the hardway to never be arrogant with my enemies. you can never tell what they will pull on you, and even worse, how.
