Blitz "supporting" is only good for kills?

Fyi i'm somewhat of a support main in ranked when i actually play. I've got one supporting me this gameif noone dodges.

Anyways... yeah he only really seems useful offensively. I personally am a bit bugged by supports like him that can't really do much when you are being ganked or focused/attacked. Leona would be a similar case be it no for her ultimate. If warrick is ganking you blitz brings him to you xD. Anyone else feel this way? I mean obviously we dont wnt blitz being a king at initiating/settig up kills AND keeping his carry alive but i just thought i'd get others opinions.

He's my second most used Support in Ranked (though still less than 1/10th as much as Nami). I would say that his early game is primarily about getting kills, but when you start teamfighting you'll be doing a lot of peeling; as in, someone like Yasuo tries to dash in to the back line, you walk away and pull him out and knock him up so it's really hard for him to get on who he wants before dying etc.

Basically yes. In my humble opinion that is often wrong. It is possible to use him defensively, like pulling someone away from your carry, or knocking them up, or his silence.

He's not a primary Support but he sees play in the Support role, like Leona Alistar Morgana Trundle Nautilus .

True Supports do a bit more for their teams like with shields and heals and crazy portals ( Bard ) and stuff.

Blitzcrank is a playmaker, who is effective without items. This is good for Supports due to our limited budgets.

Sounds less he's not a good support and more he's just not your style.

Which is okay, you know? Not every support feels "support" to everyone, whether you're playing with, as, or against them.

Personally I feel the same way about Thresh. He's quite popular, but he doesn't give me the "support feel" like Soraka, Lulu, and Braum does.

Lantern as an often get out of jail card is kinda nice.

But yeah. Morgana Annie Zyra don't feel like Supports to me but I do know they are good in the role.

Certainly, but like I said (to restate, not to be a condescending prick), he doesn't feel "support" to me. I'm a protective support main, but I don't enjoy holding everyone's hands, making my style not mesh well with Thresh. I think OP has a similar issue?

His peeling isn't that bad, if anything.

Though considering that he excels at fishing people out and turn fights into 4v5 instantly, not a surprise on why you saw him that way. And because of that, he ruled solo/dynamicQ in all elos.
