Does Morgana's Black Shield block more CC if she builds AP?

Does it work that way, or is her shield only block a few Crowd Control spells before it pops?

Black Shield RANGE: 750 COST: 55 mana COOLDOWN: 23 / 21 / 19 / 17 / 15 Shield Strength: 70 / 140 / 210 / 280 / 350 (+ 70% AP)

So...yes, dependent on the CC, which most CC does magic damage with it. But for every 100 AP Morgana has, her shield will block an extra 70 hp worth of magic damage (or 10 AP will block an extra 7 damage...), and all CC attached to that damage, until the shield times out or is broken by enough magic damage. But something like Veigar Q\R could deal a LOT of magic damage without any CC attached to it. So the shield would break without blocking any CC.

It blocks any CC until the magic shield "pops." So, indirectly more AP would mean more Magic based CC blocked because the shield will be harder to break.

But, any Physical damage CC (ex. Mega Gnar stuff) would be all be blocked because it doesn't whittle down the shield. So AP doesn't mean much against physical CC.

Also, if a CC ability breaks the shield, the CC will still not be applied.

I don't think this is right I'm pretty sure her shield makes you spell immune for one spell. Whether it's ap or ad. It doesn't shield from auto attacks tho. For example Caitlyn's q can be stopped by Morganas shield, even though it's ad.

You're thinking of banshee's veil, Sivir Spell shield, Nocturne Spell shield, and Riposte.

Morgana's Black shield is a "Shield that blocks Magic damage, and makes the target immune to CC while the shield is up

Oh that's right I'm thinking of sivir My bad

That damage immunity is limited to AP CC effects, though. Champions protected by Black Shield are immune to all CC effects until the shield pops, regardless of origin or damage type, but will not be protected from AD-based damage.

If you GNAR! an enemy with black shield, it will still apply the damage but will not throw/stun them unless the shield expires.

Edited for clarity purposes.

That's why I said "Blocks Magic damage, and MAKES THE TARGET IMMUNE TO CC WHILE THE SHIELD IS UP"

My response was more targeted toward a prior response that unintentionally implied that the damage from AD-based CC effects would be negated. I just replied at the end of the conversation thread so that the conclusion wasn't broken up.

If the CC is tied to an AD damage spell it blocks every CC until the Shield expires on its own. If the CC is tied to an AP damage spell it blocks CC until the Shield is broken or expires.

In the second case: more AP on Morgana = more health on the shield = possibly more blocked CC.
