Riven is Balanced

Her shield has a 1.5 second duration which people don't seem to realize, her entire burst combo require she literally stand on top of you and she falls off heavily once she can't secure at least 2 kills. Plus if you can't take advantage of animation cancelling, you're going to suck because a huge chunk of her burst has just been cut off. I tried her and found this out myself and that nerf to her ult's missile speed was the most they could have done without flat out gutting her. She is balanced, just not in the traditional sense.

Let the people who refuse to learn complain. It's the only thing they are good at.

Distance-closing.
Constant distance-closing.
A shield.
Crowd controlling.
Jump over walls.
Damage...
more damage.
Ranged directional damage.
includes AOE to piss you and allies off.
Then escape like how everyone else escapes (sarcasm).

May or may not be balanced. It's the kit and there are many old kits that ought to be changed.

Nice list of strengths. If it was fully impartial, or if If there was also an impartial list of weaknesses, maybe someone could make a successful argument out of it.

I think she has an overloaded kit that can be OP when played correctly, but it takes some skill to get good with her to do such. Alas alot of people are able to play her and do well, but only a few can play her to her max potential.

FINALLY, someone who understands that Riven isn't overpowered.
