Idea to Solve Some of the Assassin Marksmen Issues

So, there are a few marksmen that really have some serious problems with buying items not meant for them, and if Riot doesn't address this they will end up having to nerf the items and then assassins get screwed. So, how do we fix the issue of Lucian, Jhin and Miss Fortune buying Youmuu's instead of crit?

Here's some ideas:

Lucian - The second shot of Lightslinger now counts as a critical hit and is increased by critical hit damage like Infinity Edge (it can still 'crit' for bonus damage based on your crit chance, but it always gets the bonus IE damage even if you don't crit). That makes IE a better rush on Lucian.

Miss Fortune - The extra damage from Love Tap should be changed to magic damage (to make armor penetration less effective on her) and her mana costs should be increased to make Essence Reaver more of an attractive rush.

Jhin - The execution damage on Jhin's Death in Four Acts should be significantly reduced (maybe 6/8/10% missing health from 15/20/25% missing health) but be changed to true damage from physical damage, to reduce his effectiveness with armor penetration.

Meddler? The active on Youmuu's is giving quite a bit of power to carries that they shouldn't have so early, and the 5 AD nerf didn't change much.

why does it matte rif they get that item

Because it's an item that is not intended for them, and if it becomes too powerful on them, it will get nerfed, which means the assasins that are actually supposed to build it get weaker. Similarly to how Sterak's Gage and Maw of Malmortius were nerfed for being built on marksmen.

Why dont we just buff crit itemization so it isnt a joke

Because Jhin's Death in Four Acts and Miss Fortune's Love Tap both deal significant amounts of physical damage that don't scale with crits or AD or AS, they're just large amounts of physical damage that get better if you penetrate armor.

The biggest thing you fail to address is that in order to compensate for any buffs, all adc's should have to trade a significant portion of their ability scaling. Basic attack centered champions should always have very low ability damage, to offset the absurdly high damage on their basic attack. Just like a mage ONLY gets his AP through his abilities, and some weird way on structures, all AD champs should get next to no benefit on their abilities or their basic attacks. INSTEAD, adc's and assasins get twice the value out of every point of AD. and most mages get an average of half of their ap per ability.

the best way to solve the glaring problem of damage carries being impossible to kill, is to make all defensive items directly reduce the amount of damage dealt, and damage recieved. you want a thornmail? fine, you take 30% less physical damage and return half that, but you deal 20% less damage over all. same thing for every other defensive item. this will keep the akalis and leblancs from being invulnerable while they deal 2k damage per second.

Well, yes, but in exchange AP is usually half as expensive as AD...

yea if you are balancing it from the perspective of gold AKA the ignorant side of things, then yes, league is and always was perfectly balanced on the other hand, if you look at it from a champion to champion based perspective, then AD is disgustingly overpowered

if vel'koz could cast his true damage ult as often as he wanted, he would still deal less damage per second than an equally fed ADC. adc's get anywhere from 500-1200 damage on champs per shot, which happens twice per second on average, so vel's full channel, which is...3....5 seconds? does about 1100-1300 full build while the adc is putting a minimum of 3000 through the armour in that time. so...half the effectiveness of adc's abilities to compensate for their absurdly high basic attack, which is targeted, or give all mages targeted abilites that do 1k damage each like viktor

Yes but an ADC's autos don't hit half the screen away. Mages get range, carries get damage.

As for short ranged mages, they're just bad and you shouldn't play them.

so long as no adc has any form of gap clsoer, or movement enhancement, then yes that would be true...but since almost EVERY ADC has exactly those things, they should really have 0 scaling on any of their abilities to compensate for their CC, or gap closer
