Yasuo is broken right now. P.S I'm a Yasuo main
Yasuo is in a really hectic and weird spot right now from what I've seen. Because of the Fervor keystone, Yasuo can pretty much forgo a lot of offensive items in favor of defensive items like Frozen Mallet and so on. This creates a situation where Yasuo has the mobility of a SLAYER with the tankiness of a Divers like xin Zhao and Vi while still having a lot of DPS due to how his kit works and interacts with the live version of Fervor keystone. Though the nerfs have encouraged him to go riskier builds early on, the changes don't do much once he reaches late game. He still eventually becomes this tanky ass samurai dashing everywhere like Speedy Gonzales while still dishing out tons of damage while having a permanent winter storm on them with frozen mallet.
For someone like me how pretty much always plays glass cannon champions, it makes me really sad that exploits like this prevent him from reaching his ideal situation. His way of avoiding damage should come from his windwall, dodging with sweeping blade, and parrying(which comes in the form of his flow shield).
I don't really have a solution to this as I've only identified the problem. The new reworked Keystone might help alleviate the abusive builds he uses but I still have my doubts. If they do come around to working on him though, I hope they address the abusive builds he use while not affecting the way he was supposed to be build( which they did do but only postponed his tankiness).
Right now I think that because of how easily he can abuse certain items, His glass cannon build is kind of underwhelming because of his low survivability in teamfights. His shield is annoying to deal with in the early game because it's not really conditional at all like Shen's passive or Riven's so you can't bait it out if you're a melee champion. It's like an Annie holding off on her stun until you get in range. Not fun when you're melee and you can't just auto his shield without taking damage. This puts riot in a spot where they just kind of have to nerf the passive shield till it's "balanced". Late game, it's just a slight health boost really. In fights that last very long, it's nothing like Riven's shield or Shen and that's really problematic because of the nature of his kit forcing him to go IN all the time. In the future I hope they address this problem with Yasuo's glass cannon builds once they fix his tank and bruiser builds.
