1: People in ranked are generally assholes and bring people down if they make an error. 2: If you don't play meta champions, ur considered a troll. 3: if you don't ping mia, people report u for assisting enemy team. 4: if you a get someone who afks or intentionally griefing, you are helpless to do anything in the game other than wait 20 min. Name more reasons if u can figure out more.

I work on improving bc I don't like being worse than average, and I want the end of season rewards. Once I get gold though I'm pretty okay w/ that, and IF I ever make it to plat, or god forbid diamond, I'll honestly not mind if I don't get better. Some people just play games bc they are fun.

If you don't have a decent win ratio, then yeah, I don't care if it's normals or ranked or whatever, if you win 30% of your games w/ a champ you should practice it more or not play it, bc it makes everyone else either have to carry hard, or not have fun.

I'll play a bots game, maybe two, to ensure I know all the abilities, what they do, and if I like the recommended order for abilities level up of whatever guide I looked up, then I jump into ranked. Works well for some champs, not so much for others, but is a quick way to figure out what champs I want to play or don't lol.
I probably should play normals, but last time I did that the game was soooo much easier than my ranked games and so it didn't really get me ready for that champ on ranked anyway. My normals mmr is bronze 5 I think bc I haven't played them much since I started ranked season 3 and I was soooo bad then. Lol

I tend to loose my first games with a champ that I haven't played before, or even in a long time.

Then again I probably am 0-8 with champs I lost that first game with and kept playing them. I can win with stuff that can lane bully early but I just haven't spent the time to learn weak pre 6 stuff as well as I should.

I literally had an Ashe ADC tell our team "I can't work with this support" all because the Annie support hit (HIT. not took. Not hit more than once.) a minion while she was typing "GLHF" in all chat. This Ashe proceeded to tell the enemy team in all chat where each of us was, she'd run right into the enemy team and sit there, she'd tell them what we were planning, when we were doing baron, when we were ambushing.
Glad to know this Ashe was "just having an off game" though. So glad I finally get it. /Sarcasm

make this person got a lot of hate for explaining something so well.. I 100% agree with you @Kazaashi. You're only at the rank you are because of either 1 of 2 things, you have yet to learn the knowledge of the game or lack the mechanical skill to. just imo

Biff Manly1 votesThis was okay until your final paragraph. "Never surrender" is an awful mentality that holds more potential to waste everyone's time than intentionally feeding. No matter how confident you are in your ability to play smart and turn around a game, if it's gotten to the point that a team is considering surrender in ranked, chances are you're not going to have fun even if you manage to get a win.

Any game I trust my team to CC kat is a game I cry, but if I have exhaust, or wait till she ults to use my cc (even if it means giving up a free kill on someone else, even their adc that gets away because of it), she is usually not that bad. Don't get me wrong, she hurts, but a good vlad hurts way more w/ the champions I play.

Also I think for me the biggest reason I might not play ranked is not having the time. If I don't play ranked I'm in a bots game and it's bc I need to be done at a specific time. That is something I can't guarantee in ranked.
Also I know some people have had the opposite experience w/ ranked given the punishments/restrictions. People who are rude can get temp banned from ranked and have to improve in normals so some people see more troll behaviors and rage in normals. Wondering what your thought is on this since I can't really confirm or deny it.

People in ranked are so stressed and at the brink of meltdowns on a lot of the occasions that the smallest thing will set them off, lack of pings, wards, meta picks, first bloods, deaths etc etc.
I don't play ranked because not only do I not like dealing with that, I don't like ending up this way.

FooDang1 votesI only play with friends and refuse to duo que ranked with them (for reasons). So we only play norms or 5 man ranked. Thats my reason.
Edit: I only played ranked last season to get morg skin. It was end of season. It only took a week and just sat in G5 for my rewards. Depending on the skin this season will determine if i will try and rank again. I dont really care about rank and just play for fun.
Daen1 votes1: My internet occasionally decides "nope not right now, bug me later". 2: I despise the promotional system (3 and 5 game gates). 3: I'm apparently very inconsistent, sometimes I crush games and others I randomly have no concept of how to kill minions. 4: Champion Select is frustrating like 95% of the time; even with good teammates there's that constant worry of getting jerks or people that can't connect.
