Replacement for Rylai's

I am of the "AP mana" Rylai's camp, but I understand that those who use Rylai's on their battlemages are lacking a big AP item to help their early damage.

...I mean, you guys have but I guess that's not good enough for you. It's plenty good enough for Nunu.

So, here's a suggested replacement for Rylai's for battlemages. (Riot has stated they might improve the power of other items that slow like or , so is on their radar. This post isn't about him.)

Scepter of the Herald Recipe: + + +600 gold (Total cost 3300 gold) 80 AP 500 Health 100% Health Regeneration 10% CDR

Unique Passive: Skin of the Rift Herald - Using an ability gives you 5% damage reduction for 1 second. Multiple castings do not stack, but refresh the cooldown.

There. Now you get some in-combat sustain that scales with how battlemagey your base stats are, plus health and CDR, exactly what a battlemage needs, and some extra defense to keep you in the fight that scales with your CDR.
