When people ask for a role in champ select, do you give up the role?
My logic is it's better to have them play something they know so you can have a more enjoyable game.

It depends.
If I get mid and he got support I won't. I trust myself more than someone I never played with.
If I get any other role idc.
If it's normals and they're aware that my aspiration for whatever role I'm getting is to 'not feed', much less go even.
Most times yes, because I stoped caring about winning a long time ago...
If it's mid, no, if it's anything else, yes.
I've only got one expectation for allied mids, and that's don't feed. Rarely do they meet expectations.
If I feel capable of playing their role then I'm more inclined to accept the request to trade. If not then no, I don't want to handicap my team by playing something I'm bad at. Top lane for example; I've been working to improve upon but I'm still terrible at it, so if somebody is Top and wants my role I'm not as likely to switch with them.
On the other hand, if they rolesteal or demand a switch then I'm a lot less inclined to do so. That only makes me determined to punish them for ignoring the rules and disregarding their teammates' right to play what the system assigned them.
It depende largerly on what roles, specially if I can even play what they're autofilled as.
I have to agree with some of these people if I am autofilled to anything but JG I have zero problem in letting them take the role I have. If I was filled to ADC I will beg to trade with others.
Am I under autofill protection:
yes: then no role for that person
no: sure, go ahead.
For normals if I'm trying to learn a new champion then no. In other cases yes. Though it's not like anyone would do the same for you, at least my experiences. The amount of times I've been stuck as dead end support because no one wanted to play support is silly (and it's everytime I play support lol).
In my experience, people will prefer a role that I got, I give it to them, and they lose us the game. Better to just stick with the hand you're dealt until you get your preferred role.
