Kassadin @ 46% Winrate? Why?

Even after the buff he seems to be falling flat. What's going on? I never thought he'd be THAT bad. Is it player skill, the meta or actually him being very weak?

It is how the games are played at the moment. Kassadin is a strong champion, but only Mid to Late game, and unfortunately games are usually lost prior to mid to late game depending on what ELO you sit in. He is definitely stronger as the games go on, and with item 3100 he can usually pop people really fast, but if the enemy team gets really far ahead then he will just fall flat and ultimately be focused down within really accomplishing much other than Riftwalking into the Caitlyn with 3 items and a item 3089 because she needs to block the sun out of her eyes.

Edit: That being said, if he manages to snowball he is definitely harder to deal with than other champions, forgot to add that.

He's a counter mage. People play lots of Zed yasuo and talon, and he doesn't even have a spellshield like malzahar so he dies when cc'd. Games don't run until late so he's not very good.

He still takes quite a lot of bans so he is fine
