How Do You Carry First Timers That Feed?

I usually dont have a problem carrying, but, if I have a team mate first timing a champion in rank, they end up feeding their asses off and making it insanely hard to carry the team.

Our Yi last game was first timing his champion, and of course decided to do it in rank (because fuck people trying to rank up am i right?). He ganks my lane several times at terrible opportunities, ill be oom, low on health, etc. Giving Yasuo easy lead ahead of me. I decided after 2 terrible ganks to tell him to stay away from top lane. He then goes on to feed the mid laner Kayle, over and over again. Thus I could not do much to carry with 2 fed laners on their team. If I tried to push a lane, Kayle would trap me and kill me 1v1. Thus we lost the game.

A couple games ago we had a first time blitz and first time jinx bot lane, and as the picture shows, they didnt know what they were doing. Blitz only landed one pull that whole game, and they both fed. How are you suppose to carry these type of players?

well great think about climbing in rank you arent asked to win 100% , 90% , 80% , 70%, nor 60% of games to climb... you are expected to win about 56% of games with consistency of win streaks and limiting loss streaks... so going into a game you have a 50/50 chance of winning and if you just manage about 6% more out of the other 50% you should lose you will climb

So basically this game revolves around being lucky. This game is starting to become a joke. So the only way ill make it to diamond is if i abuse dynamic queue, or if i get lucky ill have kids who have common sense in solo queue.

one team will win

you just need to win 56% compared to 50% to climb... and when you start to lose your win % then you are at the elo you are meant to be at

Well you just broke your own argument.... if you nver troll then you team has less chance to have a troll.... your NOT going to win every game butbif youvwant to rank up just got to be consistently better then everyone else at your elo.... cause then you will rank up its math i know some peole cant grasp math its normal ..... some people cant grasp working on cars or fixing computers.... Tldr if your better than your elo youvwill rank up of not you wont look at what YOU can dobto improve

are you kidding? it works great. i put deathcaps on everything. ability power wins wars. esecially 7 of them. i make sure to sell my trinket late game for an extra deathcap. what kind of runes and masteries are you running on jayce? better be deathcap suitable. run pure level 3 attack speed runes and a resolved build. works every time. what spells do you take? WRONG! you need smite and cleanse! how else are you supposed to steal dragon and baron at the same time with your mobility boots recall sell your mobility boots buy a deathcap and win the game for your team?

I tried a game in customs replacing IE and Phantom with Void Staff and deathcaps, work so well.

In a seriousness I think he does have 1 magic damage AP scaling ability, but I can't remember.

I'll do some research later. Sometimes its better to get sorcerer boots than attack speed boots if you're playing a champ like ezreal or something,

just remember the actual point of the game is to have fun and enjoy it.

here is a though about rank...

rank isnt something to be ashamed of. i feel rank is just a way for riot to put players of similar skill levels vs each other so they can have fair games and enjoy and have fun playing the game... hear me out...

you are bronze.. what if every game you matched vs plats and diamonds? and you get stomped up and down the map and the game is no fun to you.. are you likely to keep playing if that is what happens every time?

on the other hand if your plat/diamond whatever "high" elo if you playing vs people lower skill level then you is that fun not every being challenged? it would be like if you were to go play a game co op vs bots or a custom game vs bots and the difficult is set on easy?

how fun is that?

so in theory rank is there to put us vs people we have a chance to win against while being challenged so the game is fun and rewarding at the same time and keeps you playing..

I dont want to play against easy players, its boring. I just had a game 3 games ago where i went 10/0/0 because morde didnt know how to play morde. I could kill him in 1 second, hammer Qd him, aa him, and he died. Its boring. Im just wanting team mates to have half a brain intact when they make a mistake, and decide to not make the mistake again.

Just last game had a gangplank top, got camped all game, and he didnt place any wards at all. He died 5 times in the first 10 minutes, jungler didnt gank him, i couldnt gank him (beens trundle could already 1v2 us alone), it was a lost game. Nobody wants to listen and learn from there mistakes.

I play this game competitvly, so I understand that some kids just play this game for fun. If I want to play for fun though, I go into norms or bots and fuck around. I dont go into ranked saying, "Huh, im gonna try this champ ive never played before, try a build nobody uses, and just have fun." I dont see how people can have fun with a team that doesnt even try. If I have games where my team actually tries, and its a close game, then sure its fun I dont care. But with teams that just feed over, and over, and over again, it just gets old man.

You're complaining about getting to Diamond while people like me are having a hard time in Silver. Count your blessing bro and be happy you're still better than a tonne of people.

Doesnt even matter if youre better than a ton of people, your skill doesnt even represent your actual rank because of trolls.

If you were only playing one game then yes it will depend on luck. However, after playing hundreds of games the number of times you get a feeder/afk/troll/rager equals out with the number of times the enemy team gets a feeder/afk/troll/ragers and all you're left with is your performance in the rest of the games.

Put another way: 20% of the time your team will feed bad and even if you hard carry you will most likely lose. 20% of the time your team will be worse than the enemy team and you'll have to hard carry to win. 20% of the time the teams will be equal and how you play will strongly influence the result of the game. 20% of the time your team will be better than the enemy team and all you have to do is keep your fed allies alive and you win. 20% of the time the enemy team will feed bad and all you have to do is not AFK or intentionally feed and it's pretty much an automatic win.

well... first i play mundo. then i afk auto farm for 20 minutes with amulet coin and dorans shield. then when i return from watching softcore on my toilet i proceed to cast a surrender vote and move on with my life. if for whatever reason we're unable to surrender i then buy the upgraded version of amulet coin and however many warmogs i can afford and then go back to watching softcore.

It is currently not possible. The new changes to the game to make games last less time make it completely impossible to carry most people in lower ranks. My last game really drove this point home. I was a 5/2/1 Renekton with DOUBLE the cs of any other person on the map (the two deaths were from winning constant ganks from yi, i came up with a double kill the second death). TPing down to bot couldn't save them from going 1/8/1 together... running down mid after grabbing scuttle every time didn't help yasou... stealing the top half of the jungle from the other teams jungler twice didn't help our lee... grabbing first dragon 4 of us together (somehow this was a miracle they were there...) but then corki ults through terrain into their tower and the other 2 ran to help and died to a 3v5 and I sat horrified as a yi picked them off faster than i could run to help... Don't know if I could have actually turned it around... my team mates who cursed and acted like baboons surrendered as I was about to get a double kill (full health renekton vs. 3% hp jinx and shen... believe me... i had them...).

I think it's really exacerbated a lot of problems. It's somewhat acceptable to think that bronze players won't know what cs is or why they shouldn't tower dive but the game itself is set to snowball... which means if one player is working hard and carrying it's not enough, ever. I used to win a LOT of 4v5's... I haven't won a single 4v5 in ages (ok, the remake surrender helps that now but i'm talking before).

I like to work hard in a match. I like to see how far ahead I can get... but the answer is simply that if your team isn't up to the task there's NOTHING you can do about it.

Advice, because I can carry my lane getting fed sometimes, but every single game ill have someone first timing a champ and feeding. I dont know how to carry them.

Ok, lemme ask you something. If you starting playing on a Bronze 5 account, do you think you would get stuck there because of feeders, trolls and AFKs ?

No... because bronze players dont know how to cs. Thus easy win, if you feed someone who knows that cs is important, then clearly youre not going to win.

Now imagine I asked a Challenger player the same question about being stuck in Platinum. He could say:-

No... because Platinum players dont know how to ????. Thus easy win, if you feed someone who knows that ???? is important, then clearly youre not going to win.

The question marks represent whatever the Challenger players know that Plat players don't. Obviously I don't know what that is so question marks will have to do but you get the point ?
