Disable Ryze Please

Altricad··26 votes·2,498 views

I've always thought spell casts reducing other spell's cooldowns was pretty OP, but when I tryed him out myself in customs he seemed pretty strong, but I could never get his combos down.

BUT-THAT-PERMA-SNARE

Anyone who saw that Team Liquid vs Gravity or Dignitas vs TDk will know what's going on.

Ryze can now perma-root someone when his passive procs. Also, WHY DOES HIS ULTI GET REDUCED?? I assumed his ulti wasn't affected by his passive, but turns out it is, giving ryze 25% Spell vamp and insane sustain/dueling ability with 5 seconds downtime in combat

Please disable him asap

His winrate is 51% for his best lane in Plat+. He's annoying to face but asking for a disable is extremely ridiculous. He's not even bugged.

There's no bug, he's just strong and people are manipulating his power. So there's no reason to disable him. and it's almost a perma stun. there is time between roots

Because LCS, therefore OP.

Nice try OP.

Man with frozen heart, 2 r.o.a, archengel staff, visage and boots he was always full health in every teamfight dealing 60 k during all the game with permasnare. This champ is very too frustrating.

So, he is op, but only after being played in the LCS, right?

Agreed.

that is the start of the two red response.

all it takes is a tool tip that states root cannot occur on same target for xx seconds.

or an increase to the cooldown/reduction to the duration.

Could even just be reduced effect on targets, ala Kennen's passive.

Why not learn to counter, like Huni did to Cabochard with Chogath the day after he played as Ryze

Cho: You rooted me? Have a silence in return.

Increasing W's cooldown by 1-2 seconds would fix this.

I agree. My friend literally said "Damn Ryze is so fucking stupid right now. I kind of feel bad for abusing him in my last 5 games"

Oh yeah. A few weeks ago he was considered trash tier.

Couldn't he permasnare before his latest buff? Wasn't he still considered trash then?

He couldnt permasnare until level 16. That is a long time to wait for a power spike. Now he can do it at level 6.

His snare only lasts at most 1.75 seconds. Therefore, it doesn't matter whether his passive lasts 3 seconds or 6, you need to be able to snare again within those 1.75 seconds to permasnare. Even if it's not quite a permasnare, and there's a small gap, you'd still need to be able to cast 2nd snare well before 3 seconds had passed.

2 snares vs. 4 snares at level 9 is a really big fucking difference (and yes, you can get 4 snares within 1 passive proc, without the enemy having a chance to move).

Certainly the change was a buff, but I think a lot of this is because people finally stopped maxing Q on him (consistent with so many people posting that chain-rooting only became possible with the buffs, which actually changed nothing about how easy it is to chain snares)

Gotta love the lcs sheeple, not even a week ago he was considered trash tier because people hated his rework

It was much more than a week ago.

He WAS trash when he was reworked.

He was buffed the patch after his rework (5.10) and that patch broke the fuck out of him. It moved his level 16 power spike all the way to level 6, and it make his pre-6 significantly stronger.

Idk, he has under a 50% win rate ranked. I don't even know if he's that OP till late game.

He is strong, but not disable strong. He is not disrupting solo Q at all even if he is causing some trouble in the LCS. From what I've heard, he probably won't even see a nerf until 5.12.

Until then, there is a gap between snares, so if you play a character with a dash you can dive onto him or away after his first snare. IF you have a stun, knock-up, or silence you can totally disrupt him during arcane power. Jump on him immediately after his passive goes down, or ideally once his passive has been up for 4-5 seconds. He is also immobile and very susceptible to ganks in lane.
