What i think would be a good change to the teambuilder

Removing the role from it .

Role is a very vague way of describing what are you actualy doing and also very inefective .

Team campains dont expect ppl to state their roles, they see the champions and they know what they get. The other argument is that your role depends on what you are realy doing not what you stated you doo .

You can pick nautilus as a tank and build apc, this means that your team has one lousy apc instead of a tank . Next thing is botlane, ppl search for botlane marksman and botlane support which excludes all the supports who clicked tank or a mage instead of support cause yolo, or they get bot lane marksman and bot lane any role, meaning that they get milions of adc's

**Its the champion you pick and your actions that describe your role in a team, not some button **

But isnt that the whole point of teambuilder? choose champion, lane and role? Also theres the option to search for "Lane - Any Role"

the whole point of teambuilder is to build a team, going into the details like you did causes you to miss the point

the capability to pick your role just causes more mess and logner queues for the entire teams- ill explain below

yes and its used 90% of the time by any team captain but there is botlane when either using or not using this causes additional mess

-if you look for a designated support you will miss all the blitzcranks, alistars etc who chose tank and indeed will build tanky or namis and zyras who chose mage -if you look for any role you will get a hailstorm of marksmans

and the main thing is that it dooesnt matter what role you pick but what role you play and the proof for that is what happened after riot added the teambuilder icons, we had a hailstorm of akali-supports, assasin alistars, and magical caitlyns nobody cares what role you insert there because it all depends on the champ and the circumstances you are playing with, while the role button slows the process

It sounds like you are saying you don't want people playing non meta roles, maybe you aren't but that's what it sounds like,

pick aatrox/nautilus mid its non meta role pick soraka assasin on botlane, she is still a support because that is soraka non meta means that you pick champion into diferent spot that he usualy is, not that the champion will magicaly change into something diferent

I still cant see whats the point of change something that do not affect the in game whatsoever. Its just an more detailed feature about what do you have planned for that game and not something like "R>Pantheon Top Full Metal Skin ONLY"

because it affects the queue time

waiting 30 min for a support because somebody wants to support with alistar tank is annoying or waiting 30 minutes because somebody specified that he needs assasin while you are a fighter riven

Again "Any Role"? o.o

My teams never had problems finding a ANY ROLE support and i had played Team Builder a lot lately, the only roles that kinda take forever to find are jungler and ADC not because the search term but because apparently not many ppl actually plays it on this mode.

i already told somewhere in this thread that any role cant be applied everywhere i personaly have to scroll through at least 20 adc's to get one support

In other words, people are wongly using team builder and you propose to change it into some kind of Blind pick mode.

just remove the role tab if ppl want a tank they can turn down all the damage dealing champs till they find a guy who plays a tanky champ

right now the role picking causes a lot of mess and longer queues for no real reason

Teaching people to pick the right category is better than what you are talking about.

Basically the problem is people pick role because they want the icon. Let people change the role after they join the team? so they can queue as support then switch to assassin (but still play support) if that's what they want? Alternatively let a captain specify an "or" condition? I want a bot Lane support OR tank OR mage.

they dont pick a role, they pick a champion who is made to fill a specific role in his team, and it always like this soraka is not a tank nor a mage, she is a support, even i you play her on toplane she wont magicaly become an assasin, you will grind something that allows her to work on a solo lane but its still soraka thats my point, whatever you will put as your role has no real effect on the game, nautilus as a mage is still a tank who builds lots of ap (actualy nautilus has preety decent scaling, i played him on top a little)
