Was the elo system reworked?

I've gotten quite a few accounts to 30 over the years from playing with friends who just started playing. I've grinded up from bronze and silver. Last season I had a bronze account that I decided to play on because I was stuck in plat 4 for like 40 games and wanted to relax and I needed to get the account to gold anyways. the majority of the time I was gaining 30+ lp per win. The account was bronze 4 and I didnt lose any games in bronze or until silver 2.(46 game win streak) But at no time did I play with people outside of my rank. If I was bronze 1 the highest I played with was silver 4. When it was silver 1 I would play with low golds and silvers. Now this is my second account the other is on euw. My euw account got silver 4 from placements and I skipped silver 2 and by the time I was in gold promos I was playing with and against all plats. Not one or two per team but everyone on my team other then me was plat 5-3 and same with the enemy team. On this account I got silver 2 out of placements. I've played 19 games including placements. I've almost in my gold promos and again I'm playing with mid-low plats. Except for my last game there were only 4 low plats and everyone else was high gold. This generally wouldnt be an issue for me but 3 out of 5 games I'm last pick. When I say adc highly preferred please ofc the other people on the team who know how to adc see I'm silver 1 immediately assume I'm duo with someone and pick it even though they are a jungle main or a support main just so the silver who is obviously getting boosted by his duo doesnt get adc. Every once in awhile I get people who ask if I'm duo and I say no my mmr is just high and they will generally let me adc. But being silver playing with plats puts a bullseye on my back in champion select.

My point is this. I know its not fair to low elo players for me to be in silver with them. But if thats the case why make it that much harder for me to climb because the placement system sucks? If they dont want me play with silvers so they place me with my elo which is two tiers above where I am at how is that fair to me? If I deserve to be in plat then Ill climb but everyone knows even high diamond and master players that plat sucks and is a pain in the ass to climb in. So why should I be punished and risk not getting my season rewards because I keep getting placed with bad players? I had a plat blitz a few games ago who didnt buy a support item(he said sight stone is the support item) focused the leona support as opposed to the miss fortune adc. etc I think I should play with my divisions and if I deserve to climb then I will. I shouldnt have to deal with the hell that is plat until I get there. If you want to place me with plats then the next time I win promos skip me to it. Otherwise I shouldnt have to struggle to climb just because placements put me in silver.
