Snowballs have ruined aram.

Giving tanks and or carries a 30-40 second cool down flash has ruined the game. The only games I enjoy anymore are the ones that only 1-2 or less snowballs in it. I would rather have to deal with 10 dodges in a row before playing a game then having to deal with snowball galio ults or snowball amumu ults or snowball kat ults or snowball jax stuns or snowball kennen ults etc etc. The whole point of aram was to force people to play champs that they are not comfortable with. Some champions were supposed to be less viable. I was okay with items being added to help immobile tanks but giving every tank, cc dealer etc a means to hardcore engage every 30 seconds when they wouldnt have had that ability without their flash or landing their built in gap closer if they had one is bs. Call this a salt thread or whatever you want but from someone who primarily plays aram and almost everyone I play with(randoms and friends) agree that aram is no longer enjoyable. With getting stuck with crappy champs you decide to have fun but now that you have snowballs people now try hard and its just no longer fun. I was fine with getting crappy champs I almost never dodge in aram but making every champion 100% viable in this game mode is stupid. Every champion should have its strengths and weaknesses. But now that there is no longer a thing as not being mobile that removed the weaknesses from almost every champ without counteracting their strengths. This also only really helped tanky initiators with no built in hard engage. But you ignored the weaknesses of every other champs. Damage dealers are still squishy. Mana hungry champs are still mana hungry and have no health regen items(ap wise)without sacrificing damage, etc etc so if were eliminating the weaknesses of all tanky engagers then we should just make aram urf so no one has any real weaknesses. Unless you remove the snowballs then you ruined what was one of if not the best community created game modes in the game.

Well, first of all the snowballs were kept because of popular acclaim after the King Poro game mode, so they are very popular with most users of ARAM.

Secondly, I don't get your point. You decry a spell that gives an advantage to a certain subset of champions, saying that ruins the ARAM experience, but at the same time you explain that playing champions just for fun even if they are 'crappy' was one of ARAM's high points.

...i'm not sure what you mean by 'making every champ viable'. Right now, the win rates range from 65% (Lux, Sona, Ziggs) to 37% (Bard, Kha'Zix, Evelynn). It's pretty clear that these champs are not balanced for ARAM, even with mark/dash available. The major change that the snowball introduced was to make more games winnable. Previously, if you didn't get a hard engage champ on your team, or if you got a champ that wasn't good in your teamcomp (Yasuo), your only real option was to hope desperately that the enemy team's mortar line screwed up somehow.

ARAM still does force people to play champs that they're not comfortable with. But without reliable hard engage, sometimes, you were just screwed. The addition of the snowball mostly made more champs viable, so playing 25 minutes of Udyr didn't feel like being tortured. Either way, though, your main complaint seems to be that the fatalism of knowing that you got Udyr, and that that was going to suck and you'd probably lose, is gone. With the addition of the snowball, they know that they're not 100% screwed, so they decide to do their best to win. What part of that is a bad thing? If you're worried about people taking ARAM too seriously, let me just say that ARAM is the only place in all of league where I have ever heard someone say 'Don't worry, it's just a game'.
