Deathfire Touch vs Thunderlord's Decree
Is there ever any reason to take Decree over Deathfire?
Can't you just keep procing deathfire over and over?
I just need some clarity because it seems like Decree is junk in comparison.
Thanks.

Stronger all ins?
Stronger poke?
The flat magic pen the tier before? Or the 45% cdr?
Dft is really only strong on specific champs.
It depends on your champ tho ^^
You can't always keep the deathfire proc up.
On certain champ you'd rather have the on demand burst because you know that in X sec you're gonna all in the guy so you want that burst of damage.
On lux, i'd rather get decree than deathfire. Sure deathfire is great if you keep spamming it/harassing but depending on your ennemy you can't always come close to keep the deathfire up and spamming makes you go oom pretty quick. I'd rather have decree 'cause I can just go E => Auto + passive proc => decree proc.
Once you get luden it's pretty funy too : q - luden proc - e - ult - passive + decree proc = tons of damage = dead ennemy(ies).
Because Riot is nerfing deathfire rather than abusers while it's buffing thunderlords. Might as well get used to playing thunderlords because brand will eventually get deathfire nerfed to shit tier.
if you're spammy champ. go decree. if not then go deathfire. and pretty much all champs with AOE effect or DoT should go deathfire. ap especially.
Decree is broken, it's meta.
The only reason to get Decree over DFT is to do less damage.
It takes ten seconds of burn damage to equal one proc of Thunderlords, approximately.
If you stick around for the whole 20 seconds, then you get a second proc of Thunderlords and the damage is once again equal.
TL:DR they deal about the same DPS over 20 seconds. There's no reason to take Deathfire at this point unless you're playing a champion that pokes once and can't get the three-hit thing off.
I don't get why you think item independent burst is worse than item dependent DOT.
