Too many times I have a scenario where I sweep a ward, and then the enemy Sightstone-spams the spot afterwards so I simply can't clear it of vision. Either that, or the enemy uses them as schmuck bait and kills you when you try to kill the ward.
Do those pretty much summarize it?

Lost R1 votesIt's pointless to sweep if you know they're coming. On the other hand, denying them vision prevents them from using targeted spells. In this single-target assassin heavy meta, that accounts for about 75-90% of all champions you regularly encounter.
Kouhey1 votesAlways clear wards when possible, use your sweeper on key locations every time it comes up, it's always worth it because there are fewer wards to place, you force them to re-ward it and they will not be able to cover as much ground as if you didn't
