So I built Gunblade on Veigar last night...
My friends and I were drinking in Normal queues, and I accidentally brought my windspeaker's Soraka masteries on Veigar mid. I decided that I should therefore build sustain, then remembered that Will of the Ancients had been removed.
Having no other options, I purchased a 
to give me heals. For whatever reason, it worked.

Score; 17/7/10 in a 39/41 game
I'm not saying it's a good build to use in every circumstance, but in the mid-late game when I had 1400 AP, gunblade's active was doing around 700 magic damage on top of all my other spells. Veigar might be the only applicable case, give his ludicrous amounts of AP, but has anyone else tried gunblade on full AP champs just for the burst?
