How to explain to an anime fan why buffing towers would be bad.

This going to very simple to understand for anime fans on why buffing towers is bad. Games are/feel too snowball currently so most people's first idea is to buff towers since logically speaking that would increase the length of games by requiring more damage to destroy towers or defensive stats to tank them. Now what if I told you that your favorite anime was going to be extended but only to find out that all if not most of the new content is turned out to be filler?

YOU WOULD BE OUTRAGED AND DISGUESTED AT WHAT WAS BEING PASSED OFF AS QUALITY CONTENT

That what buffing towers would do the game in its current state. Games would be longer, but that extra time might as well be filler crap that had minimal impact on the outcome of the game while making everything less interactive. It would be like those episodes where nothing of importance happened and nothing interesting or relevant was revealed or changed.

POTENTIALLY BEING THE WORST KIND OF FILLER, FILLER WITH FLASHBACK FOLLOWED BY FLASHBACKS ABOUT THE STUFF BEFORE THE FILLER

No sane person would want this, but that is exactly what your going to be getting by buffing towers.
