I hear that 2018 worlds had good viewership.

Marksmen claimed they felt weak for most of 2018. Couincodence? I THINK NOT.

Riot bragged about good viewership, but they failed to mention that people were forced to watch Worlds to earn Missions from the client.

Do you really think people enjoyed and watched entire matches with shi*fest Season 8 gameplay? No. They opened the stream/vod, muted the volume, and minimized the screen for 10-15 minutes until they got their Mission reward.

Players of almost every class complain they are weak almost all the time. Nothing makes ADC special here

They honestly weren't weak. Look at earlier years of lol and you'll see two things:

  1. adc's weren't the sole/main source of damage for most team comps - they weren't capable of killing 4 enemies by themselves with their dps alone like people expect them to do today and act like it's perfectly ok for them to do
  2. adc's built defensive items - lifesteal, ga, etc. ... as 2nd or 3rd items. Going glass cannon crit or dps? Sure some people risked it, but they also CORRECTLY had to PAY THE PRICE for their greedy builds if the enemy got on top of them. For some dumbass reason today people think adc's shouldn't be able to be 1-shot even though they rush 3 straight pure damage items (not even lifesteal or armor/mr or hp in the itemization) and that they should run faster than anyone trying to catch them. Moreover, they should kill anything they auto within 3 sec or less. That's just absurd bs. But sadly... absurd bs that Riot and even players are seemingly buying into over the past 2 years with the trends in adc dps, movespeed ADVANTAGE crit users have over melees that make adc's uncatchable w/o a spammable gapcloser, and increases to their durability without any defensive itemization required.

People act like adc's are weak and need buff cuz omg other champs that burst or are spellcasters have more carry potential midgame and early game. Well guess what... you're a dps champ. That means you need to reach the point in the game where dps outweighs burst. You don't see a nasus jungle expecting to beat a lee sin early game... because nasus needs stacks to build up his dps and the durability so that he can survive long enough vs lee's burst to utilize his superior dps to win the duel. Similarly a renekton should beat a master yi early on because his burst is too high for yi to live long enough that yi's dps advantage can make a difference. Complaining that adc's need to be able to compete/match the power of burstier champs early and mid game without making them then lose their dps power advantage late game is absurd. That's like the lee saying he should be able to 1v1 nasus late game when nasus has 500+ stacks. Or the renekton saying... you need to double my burst so I can still 1v1 yi late game in a side lane. Uhm... no. You have your time to be stronger... according to what your champ is supposed to do... and so does the other guy.

Most adc's are designed around aa's/dps. That requires ramping up. If you're going to ramp up sooner, then you need to pay the price accordingly by having some of that dps advantage shaved off of late game so that overall power remains about the same. Moreover, it's an issue of builds. You build greedy... you SHOULD pay the price when the enemy appropriately identifies that and punishes it. If a talon with ghostblade jumps into the middle of the enemy team during a teamfight, get's stunned by leona, get's rooted by cait trap, and gets blown up and starts complaining... adc's would say talon got what he deserved for misplaying as a glass cannon midlaner. Well then adc's... by the same token, you got what you deserved when you get jumped by that talon for not being in position (or your teammates not peeling) and get nuked. You can't argue for one and not the other. If you want that, go play cs;go or cod. This is lol and adc isn't the only position. Other champs wielding other types of damage than just a gun or bow or spear matter. Get over yourselves.

The issue with you’re argument of “adc is for late game” is that they still lose the late game to these early and mid game monsters due to their items being significantly weaker.

For 2900 gold you can get a duskblade of braindead

Or you can get a statik shiv.

Dusk blade wins every single time.

Uh... no. Check with anyone that runs math for league. Adc's have the highest scaling item combos in the game with crit. And barring yasuo and trynd, no melee can utilize crit remotely as well as adc's can. Adc's can get away with being more glass cannon because they have the protection of range. If they are melee and try to use same build, while it might be great once you start dealing damage... a melee can't get into range to deal that damage without dying... with a few exceptions... because the build leaves them unable to sustain that same level of damage from an adc while they close the gap; they need some durability.

And if duskblade is SOOOOO OP... then why is mf so bad late game adc? Why does she win early, but fall off?

You aren't even attempting to be rational in your thinking either... and your last comment proves that. You have far more than one item late game. So doing a side by side of duskblade vs shiv isn't a relevant comparison. You do a full build comparison... that's relevant. That shows attempt to think rationally. You are just slapping together excuses and distractions by the seat of your pants.[zombie-brand-facepalm]

sigh effectively using crit takes 3 item slots and 9.4k gold. Let’s say someone goes with a triple lethality build. Well use the same 3 item slots. 8.8k gold.

Now because building crit does not allow you to build any kind of tank stats to survive, and the lethality items give some defensive utility and give you an extra 600 gold for some random defense, no. You lose because you dares to build crit.
