a fair way to nerf gangplank

Why hasn't his ultimate been changed so that the slow is weaker the further you are from its center?

A fair way to nerf gp: nerf trinity force. Tank builds are sorted. Triforce is what makes op things op. Not the champion.

This might actually be a good solution if you revert the nerfs to hecarim and irelia.

The big reason why Hecarim, Irelia, Bruiser Yas, and GP are/were so strong right now is because triforce got massive buffs.

Edit: didn't play GP before the triforce change, interesting.

actually. the triforce change was a NERF to gps damage

GP doesn't care about the AS buff on triforce... 10 % cdr more is nice, but all GP mains already play with CDR runes... Nasus and GP prefer way more crit chance on triforce and their builds already have enough CDR.

You could argue that the last change to trinity force was a nerf to GP who likes crit

because it doesn't make sense?

GP is perfectly Fine where he is now, people will learn hes not as bad as he was before the nerfs. Once the higher elos all see this and stop wasting a ban on him, they will start banning other champs like Nidalee again.

This wouldn't actually fix the problem with Gangplank, his ultimate isn't used for the slow most of the time, it's more often used to secure/steal kills from other lanes to snowball.

A better way to nerf him would be to weaken his lane poke with Q in lane and possibly his map mobility by nerfing the speed boost he gets from breaking barrels.

A good GP will throw out his ultimate as the skirmishes breaks out, with the slow allowing his teammates to stick harder as they run. So the change at least means gangplank has chose if he wants to use his ultimate more for utility or damage. Especially if there are multiply enemies around but scattered he will have to pick who he wants to have his ultimate affect the most.

Because if he bombards an entire area, the entire area should be shell shocked equally? He already has a mechanic like that with his Death's Daughter upgrade.

I think he just needs another gameplay update in the future to make him less RNG dependent. Take out the armor ignore and bonus damage to champions on the barrels and have them be a guaranteed crit. Keep the slow at the same values, but have it decay.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD RITO, PLEASE BRING BACK JUNGLE GANGPLANK!

Can we cut the bullshit and take away his gold generation? A champion who can obliterate an entire wave with two abilities shouldn't get extra gold for doing so.

a man in a game i was in put forth the idea of a fair nerf to gp would be to. make his barrels do more damage based on how many barrels are in the chain. which i looked at and though . . . yeah i can see this being pretty fair. but there going to have to nerf the base damage on the barrels. and up the pen to compensate if you ask me

the thing is in skrimishes gp ult does a lot of damage. a bunch of immobile champs will have hard time leaving it while being hard cced

what makes gangplank strong in my opinion. is the fucking reducing the barrell slow and also. not counting his barrels as minions to activate the 2nd part of phage trinity force passive that makes him fast as fuck

That's not really why he's strong I think. It's because he's so fail safe.
