from champion gg: 50th in winrate, 27th in playrate.

No compelling argument balance-wise as he isn't a pre-nerf LB or pre-nerf Rengar level of annoying.

IDK, it just seems they need to hate the champ because pro are using him in competitive recently.

Well I hate him because his damage is pretty absurd and he has so many things in his kit... Also i always get hit by his Q lol.

His Q is easy to dodge (If youre talking about his Nuke), if he uses the Q without E boost, then you can walk away from it unless your reaction speed is not that good. If he uses Q+E, then just stand behind minions. Most the time you can predict where Jayce is going to Q+E you, and beens it goes fast you cant simply juke the Jayce. I got good at this from playing against Yasuos, when they spam their tornadoes over and over at you. You eventually predict where they are going to send it, and you can dodge it easily.

They are just complaining about him because they dont know how to play against Jayce. Odds are theyre using champions that Jayce counters like Darius, in other words, they arent using their head, and just want to make excuses instead of owning up for their mistakes, just like every other forum poster on this site asking for a champion to be nerfed.

the problem is that not many champions counter jayce. to be specific. the champions that counter jayce are the champions that have less counters than jayce. which are quinn and pantheon

top lane is fucked. and has been fucked for a long time. counters don't really exist there anymore its about whos stronger early game. and not many are stronger than jayce. hes bullshit early game

TBH I love fighting Jayce top, and I hope every time I see him picked that he brings ignite and thunderlords. I eat cheese for breakfast.

hes the ad version of leblanc. chunks 60% of your hp at level 4. with an unavoidable combo

Quinn does not counter Jayce lol. One Q+E from Jayce onto Quinn means Quinns health = 50%. Plus once they reach level 6, Jayce can just Q Quinn in hammer mode and she will die instantly.

People who counter Jayce IMO are:

AP Nautilus Chogath Fiora JarvanIV Singed Vladimir Aatrox

Anything with a lot of sustain can out live a Jayce.

He is just frustrating to play against and good in current meta as he can deal with gnar, kennen and champions like Illaoi, Darius. I enjoyed more playing him before his buffs anyway but Imo there are more annoying/op champions to nerf.

Hmmm. What 'buff' did he get? The only 'buff' ive seen is his E being only 40 mana at all ranks on Hammer mode and his hammer now stacking off physical damage instead of magic (which does about the same damage anyways lol). They nerfed his W a while ago to where its only +110% bonus damage instead of +130%. So whats the buff that is making him insanely broken.

I have not said he is broken, I have only mentioned that I enjoyed playing him more before those, maybe because he wasn't even 1/10 as popular as now. He is fine Imo.

Ah I see. Yeah I also enjoyed him before worlds when nobody played him, thats why I mained him. But now every game I have to worry about him getting picked/banned. Also if I win by carrying, the enemy will just say Jayce requires no skill to play [zombie-nunu-bummed]

Scaling off of physical damage, as opposed to AP, when he is a champion who only builds AD, and it somehow still does "the same" when he will have about 300 more AD than AP? Alright.. The reason people are calling for nerfs is the reason people call for any shapeshifter getting nerfs, if they surpass a certain "threshold" it makes them seem overtuned. Shapeshifters are very high skill cap and fairly high skill floor, so when they can casually go to 50+% winrate, it's usually an indication they may be strong, just like when champions like Zed go to 50+% winrate. They are gated by high skill, so when even that is being surpassed and said champion is one of the more contested picks in pro play, it usually speaks volumes for that champions power. Edit: I don't think Jayce needs nerfing though. Kennen on the other hand..

The only reason why Jayce is cancer for some people is because of Armor Penetration, which is getting fixed next season. So Jayce doesnt need a nerf.
