not even joking his ult op makes it very hard to play and win when you are vs in a taric bottom

His ult has like a 2 second wind up for a 1.5 second immunity. It's incredibly easy to play around, and, on top of that, it doesn't stop CC, just damage. He needs no nerf.

lets say you are playing sona/kogmaw vs. taric/lucian. Taric can activate his ult to towerdive and if he gets level 6 earlier than sona (which is highly possible) they can towerdive the sona/kog and kill them before the immunity wares off and there will be no cc to stop them. (especially if the dive is coordinated with their jungler.)

and would that dive fail if taric was swapped for a leona or alistar?

It wouldn't fail, but there would be more of an outplay chance. Personally I think diving for free isn't healthy for the game in the slightest

His ult would only stop like two tower shots, tops.

Even then, you'd have to be completely brain-addled to not see the dive coming if you are wounded and don't react within the 2 seconds of warning.

You can easily stop him before the ult fully goes off. I've been and killed taric many times right as he cast is ult.

Literally every damaging/ally-empowering ability is telegraphed. All you need to do is watch for his stun, disengage when he ults, and you'll be fine.
