Can we please discuss how much Riot hates ADCs?
Patch 5.16 buffed assassins , brusiers, AND tanky supports. ADCs did not receive any buffs. RIP.

They hate ADCs so much that they don't even have to buy
to pop tanks anymore. Good one.
well that does matter because they all get one shot before they can deal any damage
No one cares. ADC mains are usually whiny and bratty (especially
players) and we only put up with them because we need tower siege and late game insurance.
Marksman have remained the only roll you can't swap out of substitute with any other archetype though.
Top lane you can run tanks, fighters, assassins, mages, even a support like Lulu or marksman like Quinn. Jungle you can run any melee champion. Mid-lane is generally a toss-up between an assassin or mage. Support is usually a tank or support, and solid selection of mages also work.
Bot-lane carry though? Is always marksman, always ADC.
Marksman have generally always been in a stronger spot than any other archetype, they have room to be weakened.
that is on riot's end to blame. ADCs do not have that much diversity in item builds. Builds are so expensive and 1-dimensional that they're literally useless until they reach that 2-3 item powerspike. Riot needs to make a tradeoff here. They either buff adcs early game or late game. Otherwise, at this rate, adcs become useless in the face of bruisers/ "juggermaw" at all stages of the game.

That was true in seasons 1 and 2, but not now. Not compared to other archetypes.

Low itemization choice isn't really an issue for ADC's, not compared to other rolls.

For seasons 1, 2, and 3:
or
with
were the meta carries, running with a strong mid-game power spike through Trinity Force, an item with a pretty solid power-curve from lanning to completion.
It's also worth pointing out

building
also isn't exactly the
slow start, circumventing a lot of her alleged weak-early with a smooth power curve allowing her some solid power.
At the start of season 3 when teams where playing around with the idea of no marksman teams:
and
were the top-picks specifically because there early/lanning phase is the opposite of weak.
And top-lane
are a thing, 2 marksman that can reliably beat bruisers/juggernauts in the bruiser lane.

I'm calling BS here due to reasons listed above.
Also, main reason marksman have remained a staple pick is their tower-sieging potential, which no other archetype really comes close to. Doesn't really matter if a marksman has serious issues killing a bruiser as long as a marksman can still topple towers: while an enemy team is trying to defend them.
Winning a game is about blowing up the Nexus after-all, which Marksman solve more directly than any other archetype. Bruisers/juggernauts generally need to kill their opponents so they have an oppening to strike down towers. Marksman don't even care, they just kill the towers while their opponents are standing under them.
or better yet, we could talk about how much I hate adc's!!!
I believe the point of nerfing adc's to hell (if you like that description) is the following:
make them just another role
The hyber-carry mentality, that changes the name "marksman" to "adc" is not one that I find very enjoyable to play with. If, however, we had a community in which it was acceptable for any of the 5 players on the team to 'carry', and not just the marksman OR better yet, to win a game without the need of any one player carrying the dead weight of some other player, the entire game would become much more... well... more fun.
The whole 'teamwork' thing works better when the team mates view each other as equals, rather than a single one of them expecting to be 'fed' until they can carry the weight of the full team.
Which is funny... since not too long ago people said Riot hates tanks... then
... then people said Riot hates mages... then
... so it was only a matter of time before some other cry cry bitch baby said "Why rito hate meh?!" and they will realize balance is a circle, not a straight path, what goes around comes around.
i gave them ample suggestions. sad they never responded to any of them.
i posted so many on the topic but here are two quick ones:
true adc have till up to that point still have been useless
