For all the people saying damage is too high, are you willing to let your main/role take a nerf?

Umm... theyre talking about damage in general. Not specific champs. Its the way people get bursted down in .1 seconds that people have a problem with. If ALL damage goes down, then yeah theyre fine with a "nerf" to their main. They want damage to go down universally.

Absolutely I would be ok with a nerf to all the meta top laners if it meant damage would go down in general. Heck I'm even down for having tanks, my favorite unplayable role, lose damage in return for REAL survivability, none of this "oh sion lives about a 1/2 second longer in a teamfight than janna, he must be busted op" crap. So yes. Top needs nerfs, mid needs liandrys nerfs (pls don't nerf mana for mid again oof), adc needs early buffs to mr and scaling nerfs to ad so other classes stand a chance late game without having to be monstrously strong themselves, I'd rather say supports don't really need nerfs because they already got hit by spell thief tops, and jungle meech, damage nerfs, yes more exp nerfs? No, they are hurting probably too much rn from that

If the damage reduction would be equal, then sure.
But damage isn't the only problem. Powercreep doesn't only means "bigger damage numbers" but also when items get to be some kind of "has it all" stats. Not only we'd have to reduce the damage, but other stats/passives that are far too common these days (cdr, lifesteal, armor pen, crit/AS/shields).
Then there's also problem with certain champions and certain abilities that were artifically buffed. Vaynes silver bullets pr Q for example... Or just whole vayne in general lol

Try a 5% damage reduction day on PBE. Across the board. Every single damaging ability in the game. Just try it. See how it feels.
Yep absolutely. I one trick xerath mid, and although I don't really have problematic burst until I'm ahead I'd absolutely take nerfs if it meant assassins and ADCs lost a substantial amount of burst.

and compensate on items that aren't used. It would still be overall a nerf because ludens and rabadons are so OP.
I would love to use something like AA staff instead, but the "duskblade" proc on ludens is just too good, and rabadons ends up giving like 250ap+.
The champion: Hecks no, she had to be buffed cause she was weak. The items:sure. I think ludens is strong and true damage with boots and a component is still too strong. Just give me a waveclear tool and Nerf those... But only if AD items get a Nerf as well .

If damage is lowered across the board properly, no role should be getting nerfed. If one specific role is getting nerfed in an attempt to fix damage, that is a sign the changes are done inappropriately.
I would not be okay with damage changes that aim to directly nerf any role, damage nerfs should be role neutral. Changes that shift the power from one role to another should be handled seperately. The last time riot tried to do too much at once, we got conqueror and that has never been properly balanced. Why are you so eager to see that happen again? Just make the damage changes role neutral and worry about buffing or nerfing roles seperately instead of trying to fix everything at once.
I main a crit ADC. I can say I would ABSOLUTELY vote in favor of my main taking a nerf IF it meant EVERYONE getting nerfs. If you ONLY nerf my main, then you're just taking her out of the META, but if you nerf EVERYONE then you're making things better IMO. To be clear, I'd even be fine with my main moving OUT of the META (assuming still "viable") if it meant the overall damage was nerf'ed.

I main tanks/supports. The only ones that do bonkers damage are Ornn, Sion and Poppy.

Gladly. All roles need a damage nerf, and many CC durations need to be lowered.
It's greats that assassins can "assassinate" people.... but does Talon really need enough damage to W Q Auto Ignite an ADC late game for a kill?
It's great that Cho is a unique champion... but does he need the ability to one shot flash ulti carries as full tank late game?
It's great that Yi is a hyper carry... but does he need 3 second kill potential on full tanks past 20 minutes? Why can't he be balanced around something other than "pick it into low CC comps and farm for 20minutes to stop solo queue."
It's great that Sion is a tankly split pushing/engager. But does he really need to do that much damage when dead? Or to auto lose 1/2 a towers health for killing him?
It's great that Illaoi has her tentacle minigame. But should her E deal 2k+ damage on a tank? Why not give her better mobility and less % health damage?
Syndra R, Veigar R, Nasus Q, Brand's base damage, MF Ulti, Pyke, Orrn's % health damage, Morg/Neeko basic ability CC duration, Draven's damage... ect ect ect
All of these abilities and a hundred+ more could be toned down on damage for more survivability/escape tools/mobility/ect.
Riot if you want shorter games that's great. Just increase minion gold value and increase tower HP to compensate. Increase death timers mid game. Make Baron spawn at 18m and lower time between dragons. Shave 15 seconds off initial minion spawn.
Sure more damage makes for faster matches... but it doesn't make for more interesting fights. It just means people hard farm for 13 boring minutes while playing safe, pushing waves into towers then go for the 13 minute 4-5 man dive for first tower... then you just have a bunch of crappy over in 5 seconds fights til one team is up 10k gold.. one more fight and they blow though inhib tower/inhib/double nexus turrets and nexus.
If you want faster games shorten laning phase, don't shorten team fights. Because personally I'd rather spend 50% longer IN a fight... than 50% long farming my first 1300g.
They will NEVER nerf damage because the Chinese market loves damage and that's the only market that hasn't been hemorrhaging players for years. Plus it makes the few casual players left in other regions feel like they're good at the game because they can do huge amounts of damage with no skill required. No point even bothering to think about it.
