Is sivirs spell shield working as intended, Riot?

Creates a magical barrier which blocks a single enemy ability used on Sivir. Lasts up to 1.5 seconds. If an ability is blocked by the shield, Sivir regains 80 / 95 / 110 / 125 / 140 mana.

However, spell shield has some pretty wonky interactions:

Why do you still take damage from the rune? Aery, Comet etc? I blocked the ability.

Why does Nami's heal still bounce? Why does Brands ult still bounce, just to hit me again? Same with Fiddlesticks Crow.

Why can Soraka still heal from her Q if spell shielded?

Aery activates after an ability hits, comet activates after an enemy is hit, nami's heal bounces after an enemy is hit, brands ult bounces after an enemy is hit, fiddlesticks crow bounces after an enemy is hit, and soraka's Q heals her after an enemy is hit.

Her ult doesn't absorb/dispell an ability totally, by that logic she'd mechanically Break Aurelion Sol's W, and permanently nope anivia's ult. It just blocks the initial affect of it.

spell shield doesn't block DOT: anivia, morg, sol etc.

I know, but if it worked that way against the abilities mentioned, then it would be super effective against the abilities I mentioned.

Comet and aerie aren't abilities, so I don't think you can shield them. Not sure soraka should get healing for q'ing you though if you block it.

but does it really make sense for comment and aery to still go off even though no damage was done?

Yes. Think about it this way... if you hit Sion when he's got w up and didn't break his shield with the ability... shouldn't it proc aerie or comet even though no actual damage was done to his health bar? Yeah, it should. Similar concept with sivir and spellshield.
