Would it help the ADC class to get a +10/15 AD on Infinity Edge for a minor cost increase?

Autoattacking ADCs rely on IE/Essence Reaver as the main AD item for a good chunk of the game (5.200 worth of gold for the two Zeal items) while lacking a good damage Keystone.

Adding some more AD to the item completion while raising not the cost too much would give ADCs more AD to multiply while building Zeal items.

Something like this or give Fervor of Battle some love, making it a decent sustained damage source in all phases of the game. I'd personally add %max health on-hit damage to the stacks, so that tanks can't get hit for 10 seconds worth of autoattacks in the mid-game while suffering less than half their health in damage.

The problem isn't their damage output... that is entirely fine. The problem is that the current meta supports 5manning the adc during laning phase, and NO amount of ADC damage is gonna fix that.

this would only buff their lategame damage, while delaying their powerspike at the same time.

their lategame is already disgusting.

What if we made cheap dps items, easy for ADCs to buy, and made them have to pick between doing shit now or doing shit later?

The issue is that:

  • Games are often decided before the ADC can scale (i.e. get their items)
  • The current meta junglers excel at killing ADCs
  • Bottom lane is a high-priority target early-game due to the presence of FB tower and Dragon

ADCs are still powerful when they have their items, but they aren't very influential early-game.

That is part of the reason why we've been seeing utility ADCs (i.e. Ashe, Jhin, Varus) picked recently; even if they don't yet have damage, they can contribute to fights through their utility.

Yeah let's further lock them in to one viable build path because logic
