Pick Intent being shown to enemy team when it's your turn to pick feels not right

Right now if you select a pick intent, it's shown as your pick of choice when it's your turn to select a champion.

If you want to change your pick because (1) it doesn't fit what your opponents have already picked, (2) you want to swap with one of your allies, your enemies can either (1) see that you're not in your comfort zone or (2) see what you wish to get picked by the other swapper.

Of course one can avoid the aforementioned issues by not using the pick intent, but that defeats the very meaning of the feature and feels like a poor solution.

It is not gamebreaking, but it's an unnecessary leak of information that could be easily avoided, like having your pick intent be a "hidden" pick that you can instantly lock-in but that your opponents can't see unless you either lock it or select it while "zapping" through champions.

Riot has said they are looking into this and plan to remove the fact that the enemy team can see.

It should never show your intended pick until you actually lock that in, or it should show whatever champ you select if you change it like it used to be. Pick Intent gives the opponent information they shouldn't have if you decide to swap picks to avoid a counterpick

Simple solution:

Pick your troll, masking pick at the beginning, in pick intent, e.g. Teemo adc.

Tell your team that you're actually gonna go Miss Fortune in chat. Communication is key here.

Once your turn to pick, do the switching-at-last-second (whatever-feels-remotely-creative) shenanigans.

Choose Teemo anyway.

Lol, people actually use pick intent for something other than trolling? Dude, that feature is dumb as hell and should just be removed to speed up champ select and reduce pick intent/ban trolling.

I assume a changed champ means they're counter-picking. So I don't see the change as a positive. Why do you assume the first pick is:

A. The best champ B. Not a choice made on their own team comp?

The pick intent is NOT shown to the enemy team. Not once have I seen a champ from the other teams pick intent. The only time you are able to see what they want to use is when it comes to their turn to pick and that has ALWAYS been shown when you click a champ but dont lock in yet.

No idea why you are complaining about it since A) pick intent before bans never shows until they go to lock in their actual pick and B) the image gives absolutely no more advantage in the pick phase than it did before.
