PSA: Katarina is not nearly as hard as she looks.

I'm Bronze (hardly silver) and I enjoy champions that happen to have simple kits and mechanics. Recently even I, with a tiny bit of practice, was able to perform well with Katarina. She has one hell of a skill ceiling, but the skill floor ian't as high as you may think.

If you want a nice AP assassin who can make flashy plays, Kat might be for you. Just learn the combos, and abuse your opponent's cooldowns, and hope your lane opponent isn't Galio, and you'll be set. You'll be surprised what you can achieve if you push yourself a little.

Sincerely, A guy who sucks at League

I don't really get this thread.

You open with

I'm Bronze

And then end with

[I'm] A guy who sucks at League

but in between you try to tell people how to play Katarina. /boggle, I don't get it.

I don't think your mature enough to being posting on the Boards.

@Op, I agree Kat isn't that hard to play but to win lanes you have to read the enemy's playstyle and really know all the cooldowns of every champion.

I don't think your

As I am a Diamond player for multiple years , I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about when it comes to skill and tactics.

You can pretend like being in Diamond Pride isn't relevant, but you'd be mistaken.

Well after DQ, Diamond doesn't seem like an achievement anymore. :P

You might be Diamond in League, but your attitude as a person is lower than Bronze.

your attitude as a person

Is irrelevant when it comes to tactics, skill and hierarchy.

Being a "Nice guy" won't make someone a good tactician.

Melledoneus2 votes

Being a decent human being and not a complete tool, however, does help with your team's morale and thus increases your win rate. Even Riot explains this by their own research.

Tactics won't be accepted by team members who don't trust you, so they're futile. Skills are your own, and without any communication or synergy skills make each fight 5 separate 1v5s.

Hierarchy has nothing to do with anything but what rank somebody actually gets to. Technically speaking, if I played nothing but ranked for a year (ignoring that I have a life to live) I have the potential to hit Challenger. Also, this point disproves your point about being a "nice guy" being irrelevent. Any Challenger or LCS player you see (those that stay in Challenger, not those that get to it then drop like rocks back to Diamond) will have a decent attitude in-game. Whether it be not raging at their teammates, cooperating with them, or just being silent in-game in an attempt to not be mean to their teammates, they have their own way to be a team player.

I'm pretty sure if you tell your elo boosters about this, they would agree.

Is irrelevant.

This is a competitive game and when discussing tactics, what matters is not being a "Nice guy". Being skilled, knowledgeable and having an analytical mind are what matter.

I'm pretty sure if you tell your elo boosters about this, they would agree.

That's a nice insult, I'm sure the moderators would agree.

Since you're ignoring my posts including statistical facts and general knowledge, I see no reason to further discuss this as you are as stubborn as a mule to remain as delusional as you are.

Have a pleasant day in Wonderland.

ignoring my posts including statistical

The only statistics that matter, I cannot bring up because the moderators only dislike it when I invoke it.

You can talk trash about my stats, but if I bring up yours I will be punished, that's how that works. A good example is that you insulted me and your post is still up, if I had done the same to you my post would have instantly been taken down and I have been punished, hence why I often state that moderation is very inconsistent.

stuck in diamond

"Stuck" in Diamond Pride? TROLOLOLOL.

I guess some people are "stuck" as millionaires too. I will not invoke your rank because moderators do not like it when I do that.

So kata is considered hard champion? I had No idea, she for sure harder than previous one but it's not achivment hard to get. She is now HARDER but not hard for sure.

Melledoneus1 votes

She seemed intimidatingly difficult to play when I first saw her because of how complicated and flashy she looks.

This is a thread for those people who feel the same.

Xilixer1 votes

bronze here as well, honestly kat's kit seems very obvious to me. its basically a wait till the right moment to just all-in and when she is ahead it just so happens that the window gets larger and larger but quite the opposite when she is behind.

BakedLotion1 votes

shh dont get my freelo nerfed

Ralanr1 votes

I haven't tried her much in mid (I prefer Talon) but I do need more midlaners. I kinda want to take a break from secondary jungle.

People keep depending on me and it's starting to get annoying.

I love the new Kat, doesnt feel as "limited" as Fizz or even Talon imo. I think you should definitely try her if you havent yet.
