Why do I get judged and called a "troll" for trying something different in blind pick?

I played Varus summoner 11 and then got called a troll. Ofcourse I wouldn't play something like this in ranked, but why is it bad to try it in normal games?

dude do what you want. I play Cho'gath support with smite and everyone thinks its trolling until they realize that the enemy can't get objectives because smite/r + my junglers smite and they can't kill the carries because there is a 5-9k hp Cho'gath who has deemed it his sole responsibility to gaurd and character whose entire character model fits inside of him while being gaurded by item 3109 item 3190 and Gaurdian shield. And if there are no objectives to be taken I can use R to delete a carry or any would be assassins. also pairing it with font of life make it were any body hit by your Q,E chilling smite or item 3800 cause allies who auto attack them to be healed for 50+ hp. By the end of the game they realize just how strong it is and enjoy playing along side it.

Ignore 'em. Blind pick normals are the place you go try new and silly things. As long as you're actually trying to win the game, /mute the haters and rock on [poppy-wink]

Most of the time they aren't trying to win, that's why people will think you're trolling

No. I can't go full AP Garen, just because it's Blind Pick. What about the people that want to try legitimate builds and see how they play out but haven't practiced it enough to take it in ranked?

If people want to troll and have random builds and summoner spells, they can always go and mess around in bot games. Normal games are there so that people can train and try good things, so that they can later use on ranked games.

You described the difference between draft normals and blind pick normals. Bots are almost worthless for seriously training against.

You don't have the right for every player in BPN's to have a specific build.

Honestly, bots is really good training. I do play some bot games in order to test out powerspikes, waveclear, macro things, timings, strengths and limits and so on.

For example, I'll play my main champion and try different laning patterns to see how it changes the dynamic of the lane, how well I can waveclear, safety, positioning, then I can proceed to try different builds to see how timings work on items, what's the best powerspikes etc. I test how much damage I can put out, so I know if I can take a fight or not, or when I'm able to waveclear with 1 ability etc.

These are a lot of things that can be tested, that you can't really do in normal games, because there are so many variables. Maybe you will get ganked and die 2 times, and now you will never know what happens, if you actually didn't die.

Honestly, playing vs bots made me a much stronger player. I don't know if everyone will get that, but I certainly gain a lot.

Also, I can try out new champions or builds without having 4 other teammates suffer because of it.

yeah getting flamed because you swapped one of your summs to smite to help the jungler do drake as support is the reason i stopped running unsealed spellbook

I was flamed whole game for trying ap irelia on midlane even when i won lane and they lost they said its my fault we lost game xD

tryhards care to much bout winning in blind that mode was made to get better testing random things against random people so i wouldnt worry bout it i dont think riot would bann you for trying it in blind just becareful with ranked because riot says they like inovation but then u have those singed and nunu players being banned for doing just that

UnboundHades1 votes

If you don't try to win then go play bots you could be ap vayne top and if you legit tried to win then you're fine

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Did you follow the actual situation involving the singed support? He was banned because of how he disregarded his team, not because of what he picked. He literally left bottom lane and never helped.

Be careful not to misrepresent the situation.

ninjaroxas1 votes

Ya but the nunu player wasn't actually doing anything wrong

Kwattigor2 votes

yes i did and he didnt help bot but her contributed to his team shutting down jungle and ganking constantly that is still helping team had gd winrate and high rank from it as well

HalcyonDweller1 votes

He wouldn't cooperate or communicate with them.

Like I said he wasn't banned for his pick. He was banned for his behavior after the pick.

Have fun.

Well because your own boogeyman is found in the mirror. Thieves triple lock their doors, embezzlers check their bank accounts frequently and trolls see other trolls everywhere.

AirKingNeo1 votes

because people queue up to play league of legends, not something else where they auto lose because someone made a terrible pick

you have a responsibility to your team too. don't be selfish

Aptest1 votes

because the other guy wants to be the one having fun trying out new and novel things. you he needs to stay put and play standard so that he can have his fun with his trying out.

I played jinx jungle on my smurf account in plat elo and I don't think anyone said anything until game started. We actually won that game and I was 1 of the carries but yeah people are too whiny about different picks, at least in normal and maybe flex too (I honestly don't see flex as true ranked). Then again, I also played jinx mid and stomped my lane vs ryze in another game of ranked on that account. No one said anything that game. Imo, playing "trolly" champions in a specific role is fine In normals. In flex I think it can be fine but I'm not really one to judge on it since I don't take that mode seriously. In solo/duo que you probably shouldn't, I just sometimes hate trying on my other account for some reason.
