its so annoying to have to wait for her to use w before i can do anything to her.

i cant believe she has an att speed slow on her w.

why on earth is she the PERFECT duelist. NO flaws.

she just spams q early game and gets out with movespeed bonus and when YOU try to fight her, all minons gank up on u and she has e and w to fuck ur att speed and movement speed.

are you playing cc champ? good LUCK HAHA. you cant use that skill because she has w up and smart fioras dont waste it.

she presses r? get the fuck out because theres no counterplay on that shit as ANY champ. a good fiora is the most disgusting thing any top laner should have to go through.

Well she's designed to be one of the best duelists.

If you can bait out her W then you'll be able to take her out though. Sure she can be annoying, but she's not bruiser build broken anymore.

This is true. There's almost no point in using q even to hit a vital at the first few levels because the minion aggro you will take negates the tiny heal while pushing the wave and the dmg is passively regenerated by your opponent in seconds if they have a dorans item. Fiora starts getting dangerous when she has her ult, some ad and boots, and some ranks in q so that she can start smacking multiple vitals in rapid succession.

Yep. Her amazing pitiful base damage makes her trade like a champ early, oh wait it doesnt. She isn't even remotely a threat till after she backs and buys some AD. Sometimes she isn't even a threat after that if you happen to be one of her counter picks.

Pick any early game bully and play super aggressive early on her.

English reading comprehension helps.

W's cooldown is extremely long and is the last to be maxed. It lasts only 0.75 seconds (aka, she doesn't parry before or after). Not even a full second. And the slow is still a skillshot. Yes, it is strong. No, it's not infallible by any means or even close to it.

Almost anything else would be fine. Something like item 3046 passive or a skillshot with a massive slow or bleed and high ratios would do it imo.

24 second cooldown. Last ability to be maxed. Lasts only 0.75 seconds. Slow/stun hit is a skillshot. Fiora is incredibly squishy and is a champion that needs to go directly into a fight to achieve anything in an all-in. Other champions of that sort all have their own individual "protection" abilities. (Tryndamere's ult, Jax's dodge, Darius' Q heal, Kat's Shunpo resets for a chance to escape, Olaf's ultimate, etc)

I liked the idea behind her kit. I thought her passive meant that, y'know. If you were an immobile champ you could still play around your positioning to try to minimize her damage. I didn't realize she would have two slows, a refreshing movement speed boost, and a low CD dash that procs the passive. It's really up to the Fiora player to kill you. You don't have much of a say in the matter unless a teammate comes to save you

what? Fiora's early lane phase is pretty weak. it isn't until she gets hydra/cleaver that she really kicks in.

I mean a good Fiora can outplay you, but you are just as likely to outplay her. she's a high skill cap champ.

If she gets ahead somehow though its over and thats where I see you complaining about her slows. her W is never going to be used as an offensive slow unless she is VERY far ahead and chasing you down. and the E slow is just to ensure you get a chance to get the crit part of the same ability.

she's honestly fine. super deadly in the right hands, but not even broken then. she was pretty busted before when her base vitals chunked harder, but now her early game is a lot weaker than it was.

It's more up to Fiora's gameplay than yours. She is a high skill cap champ, but that doesn't justify the more toxic aspects of her kit The most counterplay she has is playing around her W

It's not so much that I care about her power level; all things considered, she's not the strongest champ.

She's just really really really not fun to fight

That's not to say I think she needs to be nerfed, or even reworked, but suffice to say I'm not happy with her gameplay.

her Q is a skill shot. it is not a targeted ability. she cannot just walk up to you and land a vital for free. not to mention if she is moving up to get a vital on you its very obvious and telegraphed. you can bait out her Q's by weaving in and out of max range.

hence the mind game and skill in the matchup.

a bad player will let fiora get close enough to land easy vitals. a good one will get hit by the unavoidable "this ones right in front and I have to last hit this creep" but bait out all the ones on the side by weaving in and out of max range. I know because i had a Fiora only account and I ran into some ok players while playing on it.

A good Fiora is not an auto win either.

Even the best Fiora's can be dumpstered by hard counters who play the matchup right like Pantheon or Rammus.

her Q prioritizes champions but is missable. I'm not saying its "difficult" to land a Q. its not. but good players really play around it well.

and her Q does not that hard early on if she does not hit a vital. she will poke with it for sure, but people who can trade back in chunks like darius can shit on her.

Dear Riot,

Why is a character known as the "grand duelist" so good at dueling me? Based on her title and her lore making many, many references to her skill at dueling I assumed she was a utility mage of some sort. I just don't get it. Please help me out by nerfing Fiora back into her intended role, I think this bug is being exploited by people. I saw a Fiora top the other day and I think we all agree that this needs to be addressed immediately.

Renek is considered a counter to Fiora. She literally destroys her. All you have to do is hold your W till you see her use her W to mitigate some of your dmg. You use slice and dice and Q to trade with her, you will bully her out of lane. The only way Renek loses the lane is by derping and trying to stun her. Renekton kit is just flat out more dmg early on, higher sustain, and faster pushing. Ulted Renek using empowered Qs to heal and dmg with while you wait Fiora's W out, wins the lane every time.

EDIT: Also you should not be maxing W whatsoever, Q then E, leave W at rank 1 because its dmg changes VERY LITTLE with rank, only scales with AD.

Remember, you must itemize to Fiora, she doesn't have to itemize vs you, which can gimp you but it's sort of her identity. The tradeoff is that when she hyper scales you won't have fed her and she'll just have a small-medium cs lead (assuming you're csing well from a distance because a good one will freeze), then if you coordinate well with your team it's possible you can 2v1 her (3v1 to be on the safe side) if she splits. Rinse and repeat. Hope this helps.
