Give Sated D the RoA treatment

I was thinking.. if Sated D was meant for late game attackspeed champions.. why not ACTUALLY making it a scaling item over time?

Like RoA it takes time to actually stack up... even other late game item like the Tear Items takes a decent amount of time to stack up. I was thinking.. maybe you guys should decrease the max stacks to get Sated (to 20, you still get double the damage) but you over the course of 15 mins, you get an addition stack per min capping at 15. When you reach the 15 min mark you can then receive the phantom hit for "other" on hit effect.

Cause look at it this way.. Fast junglers like udyr and shyvana gets max stacks at 20 by 10 mins anyway and they can only get really overwhelming at 25 mins into the game instead of early in the game if they manage to clear really well. Cause I'm seeing in soloque the toxicity of the item... And I know it that in the competitive scene it doesnt really factor much.. but it really isnt enjoyable to face a shyvana and proc her W twice every AA and 60 magic every AA from Sated at 17 mins in the game or less (mostly if they take dragon and scuttle). Even tanks cant even build against it fast enough early to deal with them when they get it. They receive such a ridiculous spike in power....

With the changes I have suggested, they will still be force to farm a little bit because the stacks per min will only apply after purchasing Sated (not to mention 40 magic damage early is not bad). But it will actually make them take time to gather power later on in the game. Because double down on Shyvana W, Jax procs, Yi W and Passive at 15-17 mins in the game is just too much... This will help slow down the RIDICULOUS powerspike they get but still have some sort of power early (plus I'm buffing the max damage potential by 5 because 15 mins in 35 stacks=70magic damage per AA). This way we have a good balance of power (ADJungler/APJungler>Sated>Tanks>ADJungler) Cause lets be honest now, Tanks can still gank provide good ganks early and they scale harder than AD jungler (mostly the next patch where juggernauts/cinderhulk is getting huge buffs) But sated with or without botrk will beat a Tank jungler (mostly cause they either become tank killers or they become tanky as well but do more DPS). Sated will lose to early junglers who will snowball lanes while they have to farm.

If Sated Devourer stacked over time, then laners would buy it, and it would become horrifically oppressive. Imagine Vayne, in lane, with Sated Devourer once the clock hits 20min. Not just her, any champions with on-hits would be on that train. If you thought Jungle Jax was oppressive in the jungle, just wait until you see him with lane farm lol.

Jax would still need to farm 20 jungle camps to even get Sated, plus 15 mins is a long time to stack, if youre gonna go sated Jax and Vayne in lane might as well get it now anyway and farm that 10 extra camps (which will prob take faster than 15 mins now to reach 30 stacks)

I think I misunderstood. Do you mean impose a time limit AND a monster limit? Would it transform only after both? Would it have a power spike, albeit smaller ones, and both "checkpoints?"

Yup both, so laners dont get it but it still take time for junglers to get the powerspike

This would make it so junglers that are behind, can still reliably complete the item. Is that something you are okay with too?

Its better than having them have a strong start and completing it extra early and then snowball out of control because they completed a LATE game item EARLY. I rather have the jungler have an insurance to late game if they fail early, and also lose out on early power if they manage to get a good early game. Cause often time when they reach that early game power with a late game item.. it gets real tough to win since (Sated+Botrk would beat any other jungle upgrade, even sated by itself and then building tank would beat a cinderhulk/warrior jungler)

I like this idea, but let's play with it a bit.

  • The item stacks like it does now. Upon reaching some number of stacks, it begins rampaging.
  • Every Nth attack triggers all secondary on-hit effects, and the item starts with N stacks.
  • The item loses a stack (to a minimum of two) every minute or two, resulting in a slowly ramping power boost into late game rather than a massive spike at the ~20 minute mark.

How is this item not being dealt with?.. Like I know Its not being pick in competitive except for Hai on Shyvana, but the fact Shyvana is pretty much perma ban.. and if Udyr or Yi or Kayle does too well with that item early the game is probably over in soloque. With my idea at least competitive can get full stack faster and stop farming earlier and work on helping the team.

Yes I know you nerf kayle AD by 5, but why nerf her laning and not an item that makes alot of other champs too strong? Im confused and I want someone to please tell me why is this item not being dealt with.... Like I undestand its weaker in 5v5 team ranked cause you can kite shyvana and udyr and kill yi with a coordinated team and make plays early.. but its you cant do that in soloque. It may be weaker in team ranked but its not like its not still strong
