As a high elo player, prioritizing ganks on winning lane is not something I would suggest

Constantly on the boards I see this notion that a jungler / midlaner should only be ganking winning lane

Here are reasons why I dont suggest this

  1. Killing 0,3 enemy really doesnt do a whole lot
  2. bounties
  3. People ARE psychopaths

Now there are some exceptions atm if you have Kaisa in your team ignore every other lane gank where she is

I heard so many times from jungler I cant gank for you because he ll kill us both (yet he can barely even kill me/x person) honestly if toplaner / midlaner can 1vs2 you are in low elo up against smurf typically

I am always looking to carry a game and most efficient way of doing that in my book is by being better then the best enemy carry player and trying to de-accelerate that enemy. even if you identify that someone has no idea what he is doing getting fed of him and getting him behind doesnt do a whole fking lot since chances us this person wouldnt know how to carry / play when ahead anyway.

You killing someone who is dying a lot isnt the reward. The reward is to take objectives after and forces their jungler or other laners to respond otherwise they'll keep losing more at their weakest part of the map

actually a jungler should put his focus on a winning lane 100% of the time lets say the enemy top is 3/0 yeah, you go to help and BOOM the enemy jungler counter ganks thats a lost fight 110% of the time not to mention you might even struggle to get the kill.

you also should be focusing the winning lane because it makes it easier to snowball and deny the enemy laner of vital cs and exp leaving that lanner even farther behind making it near impossible to climb back into it. i don't get why you would want to focus time into a losing lane. i get if they are down a kill yeah you can help to get even but there is no reason to be going to a lane 0/2. i dont even jungle and i know how to deny a losing lane fam..... ur either not "high elo" or not a jungle player -.-

Well, having your jungle camping your winning bot is a common strategy which punishes you at the very end quite often. ;)

yeah because u make more impact in the 2 people lane -.- also alot of early objectives bot side aka early drags

Herald is an objective as well which if you ignore it,you'll get punished with minus 2 towers.Vayne players or bot are not the center of the universe.Top lane can have an impact too because he got the teleport.

As the OP said you, must focus as a jungler on lanes that REALLY need help.

Well, no, otherwise people would just...be Diamond. Diamond is relative to the community at large. For every one Diamond player, there's plenty of people that aren't. Not everyone gets good at a game, even if they try.

Everyone can get to D5 if that is what they really want and are willing to put in a lot of time and play only like 1-2 champs that are easy to play. Sure it won't be easy but most people don't want to abolish all fun playing what they like just to be diamond.

No, you're wrong. Blatantly.

Wow. I think you underestimate humans a lot. Take any player, give them a pro coach and have them play 10 hours a day. NO FUCKING WAY they don't end up in D5.

Playing video games is a skill, just like anything else. There's a limit to human potential, and Diamond rating is influenced by the skill level of the entire ranked community. If someone enters Diamond, they beat people out of that spot to get there.

You literally can not state that just anyone can be Diamond, because that's implying EVERYONE can be Diamond, which is impossible because "Diamond" is relative to the top percentile of the ranked community.

In other words: The goal post moves as the community improves at the game.

Yeah I am assuming the entire community is not also playing 10 hours a day just to prove me wrong

Aight, but the fact of the matter's the same: Not everyone can achieve Diamond.

OP isn’t saying not to gank winning lanes - he’s saying that whether a lane is winning or not shouldn't be the deciding factor in which lane to gank.

Junglers should generally gank the lane with the lowest opportunity cost - where they suffer the least consequences for the greatest possibility of rewards. Sometimes that’s a winning lane. Sometimes that’s a losing lane. Sometimes that’s counterjungling. Junglers have to keep track of the powerspikes of all other champions in the game.

agreed, but in hindsight it is better to be ganking a winning lane due to the fact it is 90% the greatest possibility of reward because in the event a counter gank happens ya and you are in the stronger 2v2 9/10 you win the 2v2 or you kill the laner once again denying cs and maybe grabbing a tower, also you should be looking for what can me and the winning lanner do together aka roam tg and impact together (mostly seen by taking a rift) now for example of ganking a losing lane and the only time i will is a. you have vision of enemy jungler and you are 100% sure its not going to turn into a 2v2. and B. my laner needs gank synergy with me for example he needs a lead cc, examples of a lead cc (nas w, olaf q, liss w) allowing for it to be a pretty low risk gank and efficient. IMO i don't quite think the OP is refering to as stated the winning or losing of a lane shouldn't determine witch lane to gank because it wasn't clearly stated -.- he even suggests not to do so. so imo i don't quite think he knows what he is speaking of.

There are so many variables to take into account; you have to go example by example you could never make a generalized assumptions. As a high ELO player and assuming you have proper vision or know where all 5 enemy laners are, you can easily predict how a gank will turn out before it even starts and therefore evaluate if it's worth to do.

Let the boards argue among themselves that you need to gank the losing lane. At the end of the day debating with idiots is pointless; they bring you down to their level and beat you with their experience.

As with everything jungle-related...

It depends

Sometimes you want to get that person out of lane so you can go around 3v1ing or 4v2ing the other lanes and break all outers

This is unironically the smartest thing I've seen this man post...and it's downvoted.

Like...why?
