this player was never ranked before. meaning iron mmr (?) its his first ranked game. and he's in a Grandmaster game. how is this possible?

You obviously dont know how ranked works at all.

Base mmr is bronze 4.

Just because opgg doesn't show past ranked history doesn't mean they dont have any.
