I absolutely love eveything about him. The hypertankyness, the decent harass with e, the AoE Q, the shield, the feeling of running at full speed to enemies roaring powerfully and then proceed to slaughter them, the resurrection mechanic, the capability of tanking turrets without effort while my team destroys them, being able to sacrifice a HP item for a ZZ rot because of W's passive,etc. Holy, i wish I had started playing him before.

Indeed, its a noob trap because people dont realize the majority of games is just trying to catch up to the base HPs of other frontliners.
All the noobs see is "wow I have like 500 extra HP! Im super tank!"
Meanwhile it took him a little over half the game just to fucking catch up with 
and at that point the winner is decided anyways.
Glory ln Death2 votesIf Sion can actually last hit, he should pass any champion in health by level 4. His base health at level 1 is pretty decent, it's just his health growth that is crappy. However, ~30 health from W each level puts him equal with Alistar, who has the highest HP growth in the game. That's 10 minions plus a cannon/large monster/kill/assist. By level 10, he can easily have enough bonus health to make up the difference between his own health at level 18 and the average champion health at 18.

Seriously though, I agree. His whole kit thematically comes together wonderfully to feel like that awesome pain train juggernaut who's sole purpose is to bring death and destruction, unsatiated rage. There was one game (I am a bronze scrub) we faced off against a sion jungle that needless to say we sucked at shutting down. He was pushing 6k hp at the end of the game and smashing us like nobody's business. He went where he pleased. It was terrifying to behold. I've been slowly practicing him in my free win bot games for the off chance I get pulled into a non support position. When I play him, I almost get sucked into his persona, where I like angry rage play, but in a happy giddy sort of way (if that makes sense).

As it stands his HP gain went from something to look forward to come late game (pre rework sion) into something you use just to catch up to the base hp of everything else, and maybe get a hundred or so extra ahead of them (post rework sion).

Verdade1 votesHe doesn't have hard time, it's just extremely annoying as Riven for example has mutiple AOE CCs in her kit, so she doesn't even have to target Sion and she will interrupt his Qs, which is extremely irritating. For Quinn, she might not kill him (or kill him quickly), but she's very mobile and if she saves her Vault for your Q you can't really reach her... like, ever
Glory ln Death1 votesIt's just a matter of learning when to Q and to not be set on getting the knock-up every time. Even if you don't get the knock-up, it deals pretty decent damage. The reduced cooldown if it does get interrupted let's you bait them into engaging on you, as well.
Especially for Riven, she tends to be very aggressive - bait her into engaging through your minions, take the stun or knock-back, E her, then get a real Q off. Walk up, get a few autos in, and let your minions do work.
Quinn is a bit more annoying, since her vault puts her outside melee range, but it's still very easy to bait her into an engage.
