Swain: Counters zed (cause he's tanky) Cannot be pushed out of lane (After buying mana items which means he counters most assassins but kat)
Vladimir: Counters zed (pool the ult) Counters kat (pool the ult) Counters ahri (pool her charm) Like swain he has sustain but also no mana needed.
Both are tanky and scale very well into a teamfight to not die. Both have some form of cc to escape.
SanKakU1 votesPlease don't encourage people to play Vladimir. As nice of a champion as he is, the sound effect for Tides of Blood is very offensive considering how much he has to spam that spell. Like if it were on a 5 minute cooldown, maybe it would be okay. But it's like 20 times in a fight. No thanks. And prepare to slit your wrists if you have to lane against him.
Too Ton2 votesI once used anivia against him and it was OP. He's immobile except for pool..... but I wall his pool so he can't escape before I ult E him again......... twice = almost dead, Q is for icining. Use ignite if you are paranoid. (trying to say hes not unbeatable)

The Bearded Bard1 votesSo wrong. Swain vs Zed is a terrible match up for Swain. So easy for Zed to dodge the W, and yea, he heals, but Zed does more damage based on how much damage he's done in his ult, so even if you heal most of the initial damage, the mark will end up doing a crazy amount. Until Swain gets Zhonyas, which'll be after he finishes ROA, also known as too late, he's food for Zed.
Vlad can do pretty well vs Zed later on, but early game is not Vlad's place. He doesn't heal as much as you'd think, certainly not enough to keep up with Zed's poke. And you can only pool so much, it costs 20% of his current health and has a long cooldown, and the dodging works both ways, Zed can dodge the damage on Vlad's ult with his ult.
Ahri also first builds morellos, and can just leave any fight that Swain and Vlad start with her that she doesn't want to fight.
Assassins are definitely beatable, but I wouldn't advice these champs. I'd go with
