We want actual competitive ranked games in low elo pls

You know how in the case of a remake in diamond+ the duo partners get the LP penalty too? You know how in diamond+ there's only soloQ rather than solo/duoQ? You know how in diamond+ boosters are actually caught? You know how in diamond+ there are algorithms in place to prevent system abuse?

Can we have that in our low elo ranked games too? We deserve a competitive environment as well.

You're wrong about the SoloQ in Diamond. Diamond has Solo/Duo just like the rest of the ladder, it's only Master/Challenger that was pure SoloQ.

The reason why more people are caught in Diamond than the rest of the ladder is because:

  1. There's few people in Diamond compared to the rest of the ladder, and most importantly
  2. Diamond is saturated with people who are constantly streaming their games, so if someone is seen doing something, there's automatically video evidence of this, and if it's a popular streamer's game, someone from Riot could actually just be tuned in watching as well.

Don't think Diamond is any different from the rest of the ladder, it's just the same*[slayer-jinx-wink]*

How about the other things I mentioned?

Diamond games have less smurfs and duoboosters. (I think just soloQ only is a way fairer way to ranked).

Duos get the same remake penalty as a way for Riot to try their best to prevent abuse of the remake system. We should be getting this in bronze, silver, gold and plat too.

Also the matchmaking is a lot more equal. In bronze you can have 5 900 elos playing against 5 700 elos. This is another reason why duos suck. A duo can have a 1700 elo and a 1300 elo playing together and will skew the matchmaking of everyone else.

Climb the ladder like the rest of us to get to diamond...

I'm not an elitist... but I got to D3 from consistently improving my gameplay and carrying solo queue... anybody can do the same.

That's really off topic.

The topic is that everyone in ranked deserves to have a fair competitive environment without cheaters, hax, trolls, smurfs, duoboosting and other kinds of things ruining competitive integrity. I understand that it will never be perfect but you can see that Riot is trying their best making Diamond+ fair as possible. It's high time they do the same to every other rank. We all deserve fair games.

Faj beat me to the punch talking about sample size.... which is the number one reason people get caught... It has nothing to do with elo preference.

As to being off topic... it can be inferred that you are complaining that lower tiers aren't competitive and you can't climb to a new level... With that it can be stated that anybody can reach to the "Promised land" you look at as Diamond+

Truth is Diamond is just like the rest of the divisions.... you get to the next tier by playing better than the people around you...

I'm not ranked 9,000th out of 2.2million in NA solo queue by dumb luck...

My point is that as long as they click "ranked" everyone in a ranked game should enjoy a game that's as fair as possible. Riot should be doing their best for ensuring ranking integrity for ALL ratings not just diamond+. By the way 90+% of people are not in diamond+. I can climb to diamond+ and there will still be 90+% of people who are suffering from shitty unfair matchmaking games against duoboosters and smurfs if Riot doesn't step up.

How can you possibly tell riot to step it up when they are actively improving... The game exploded faster than anybody could possibly imagine. Things are 10x better than they were even last year as far as boosters and scripters are concerned. You are talking about 2.2 million ranked players... A team of even 100 people would have a problem handling that task.

I literally just explained how:

  • get rid of duos. Duos are not fair for matchmaking. If a 1700 elo player duos with a 1300 elo player, the other 1500 elo players in the game will have to deal with having a too good player and a too bad player on their team. By law of averages the average elo is the same but the game play will be unfair.
  • If we aren't getting rid of duos at least give duos the same LP penalty for AFKs/remakes as they do in diamond+ games.
  • Improve matchmaking. We rather have longer queues and fairer games than the opposite.
  • Actually do something about people who intentionally smurf in rank by dropping to a lower rank than they normally would by throwing games.
  • More algorithms to prevent system abuse.
  • Get rid of autofill too.
  • Get rid of the teambuilder forcing a 1 top 1 mid 2 bot 1 jg meta and let teams discuss this amongst themselves.
  • Make it so that games don't even start until all 10 people load in. If 1 person doesn't load into the game within 5 minutes then it's treated as a dodge and the game doesn't go through.
