[Discussion] A Question about a possibility to slow down griefing
First, General Disclaimer.
This post is legitimately just a question, i'm not asking, demanding or requesting this content to be taken into consideration because of just how many loopholes it might have and how difficult it is to actually put to effect, so i decided to Put it up as a question instead and hear people's Opinions and possibly lead some good conversations about it.
As the Title and the Disclaimer suggest, I would like some discussions to be lead by this. I am effectively disencouraging just oneline answers like yes/no and stealth-votings both up and down, and should latter get out of control i will be requesting a mod to disable voting entirely. While i do not request the content of this post itself, i do request people to be constructive, to be critic, and to be describtive.
How will i know WHY my idea is stupid if you are just gonna say stuff like "no" or even bash me with lines like "please go back to M&G because you're just a joke". Answers please.
That is all for the Disclaimers
This question regards solely purpose feeding, or inting as people call it now. And it is:
- What if abusing an enemy Int would be prohibited?
Simple question, easy to understand. The Concept of Intentional Feeding is to basically repeadedly allow the enemy to kill you by purpose, and Trolling in the most cases next to Inting would be Set up a scenario that leaves your teammates into disatvantages which ends up killing them or in short repeadedly leave your mates to die on purpose which ends up giving then massive leads in gold and effectively reduces your teammember count by at least 1 out of 5.
The Reason why Tahm Kench can take Ghost and Flash and W you then throw you right into the enemy team is because said enemy team would not hesitate to kill you...and likely also tahm. Resulting in 2 free kills. Or if someone runs down mid out of tilt, again, the enemy would not hesitate to just take this free bag of gold for himself to then wreck the game for your remaining team and yourself.
BUT, as the questioning suggests. Feeding can only really occur if the enemy takes the opportunity to get himself fed from said Troll. So, Why not forbid the enemy from taking Advantage from your teammate trolling? It's basically the Trader-purchaser logic playing out. You can't sell stuff illegally if you have noone to buy your Things knowing it is illegal. Taking this practically into League, You can't troll your teammates if the enemy rejects taking Advantage of it, or as this question proposes, is not allowed to take Advantage.
i've had to honestly see it a lot of times with mixed feelings. Enemy teams saying "No Problem, we will report your troll" But still Let him be effective by getting themselves fed and/or taking all the given leads by the troll. What use is it really to tell us you won't let him get away, but then give him as much of a victory as possible while he still can go do what he wants?
Having asked this, there are many loopholes it might content, and This post exists to discuss them and find a solution, if we were to assume this would be requested sometime in any future. This is an "WHAT IF question, after all.
For example, people would likely, out of tilt or whatever other reason, start saying that overextensive massive camping could be mutated into "Abusing Enemy Grief" as it would likely be called, due to you being unable to report someone for feeding who simply just had horribly bad luck, so the next easiest Thing to say is. "my teammate Feeds and you're abusing it" which for the average tilted individual would be hitting 2 birds with one stone.
Then there's debating about in which cases this might actually be considered trolling, in which case the next step is to define when the enemy is abusing it. Trolling has it's obvious cases but it also has it's horribly debatable times aswell, where you really cannot tell if your mate is feeding or just really...really bad in this specific game. Or if the enemy is just that much better.
And no, this question does not consider a 4v5 scenario from any form of an effective AFK whatsoever. The Point addressed is for intentional feeding and trolling only.
Carving a set difference between Trolling and being outskilled would likely be needed, and it would possibly be a very open form of reporting, just as trolling itself is, which more often would require Manual Review and not a system's limited Analysis.
Thought needing a LOT of work, and admittedly not really seeing this as the be all end all solution which would end trolling for good, this is the rough, fundamental basis of the Idea that by theory should help reduce the effectivity of more obvious intentional trolling.
I am pretty sure this has been discussed or thought of at least once, but if it was i have not been around so i wanted to hear what people think about this. Is it Good? Is it bad? And why would it be good/Bad? If riot were to ever enforce this, would it be effective? or would it change nothing? I would very much appreciate it if people could offer their 2 cents to this topic.
