Can we make Conditioning scale like Gathering Storm?

Self explanatory in title. Can conditioning have 10 minute increments? for example:

10 minutes: 10 armor and magic resist 20 minutes: Add a bonus 5% armor and magic resist 30 minutes: Add 6% bonus armor and magic resist (total 11%) 40 minutes: Add 7% bonus armor and magic resist (total 18%) 50 minutes: Add 8% bonus armor and magic resist (total 26%) etc.

Or, or, or,

We can just revert the overgrowth nerf.

I'm sure all the sion mains would enjoy that

They could revert the w sion hp for kill buff and if needed nerf cho'gath R hp gain for stack for compensated. This way they would be fine with that (it's still a buff) but also open other tank to this rune.

It will never happen. Because riot wants tanks to be worthless.

Speeedy7 votes

riot will never do this because they don't want unkillable targets, as much as I am for something like this I can't see it happening

It wouldn't even be a good change.

If anything, penetration would just become more effective against said target the longer the game went on. Games would never last long enough that the resistances would actually beat out penetration, along with all the % based damage amps and true damage. Defense doesn't scale in this game the same way damage does. If they really wanted tanks to be good, they would change conditioning to "% damage reduction from all sources or something similar." It's kind of hard to be a tank without % damage reduction, but then again most of my tanking experience is from MMOs.

Yes, please - and revert the overgrowth nerf - let tanks be tanks! ;)

Even better, a combination of the two.

Every 8 minions or monsters that die near you increases your max health by 0.3%. After 100 minions or monsters die, gain an additional 45 max health.

Now you get the % max health, and a flat gain every 100 minions instead of the other way around.

INGENIOUS! but you only get to keep one part e.g the most beneficial one in order to avoid exponential scaling (reason why it was busted on sion)

I mean the point of a % increase is so that you get more of that stat as you buy them an considering tanks aren't supposed to be late game. The whole tree does need some buffs but not for it's late game.

The only reason I thought a % increase I chose as an example would be better over a flat increase is because it forces the player to still buy the armor/resist to maximize its benefit and not be rewarded with a free flat increase that would be better all around which bruisers could abuse just by building Tri/steraks/Titanic/Spear/warmogs.

Wait, since when are tanks not supposed to be late game? I know there damage falls off as the game goes on, but isn't that because they get really hard to kill late game? I might be wrong of course, but I find it weird that I feel that tankiest when it's in the laning phase and I barely have any items.

When I mean late game, I mean everyone is at 5/6 items late game. League was made so that tanks are supposed to be strong mid game before ADCs can get enough AS and armor pen to punch through them and combine that with them not getting a item 3031 /item 3089 equivalent they're supposed to lose a lot of umph late game. Now if a team doesn't have someone who can actually chew through a tank though then it's a whole different story.

Tanks do have a Rabadon's equivalent. item 3083 Or the Health stat in general. 300 Armor means nothing if you get it from FH+Tabis+Thornmail+Zzrot portal, but just buying a Sunfire+Randuins would make you tankier to physical damage.

Revert the health nerf to Sunfire, buff Abyssal Mask's combine cost (why does it take 1080 gold to gain almost 0 stats and a passive thats not always in use? Why does Banshee's Veil not build out of Negatron?) and you'll have a better tank late game. Speaking of, Can Nunu please get the 10% max health passive on his Consume back? He's so squishy now and completely useless, and Riot's only attempts to "buff" him since release have been adding damage. TANKS ARE NOT PICKED FOR THEIR DAMAGE.

Would actually take the rune for once_

This is actually a really good idea

Baval1 votes

you know it has to start out weaker then right

Saezio4 votes

It does start weaker and it equalises at minute 20. But yeah it could do with 1% less in each step and maybe -2 base?
