Did anyone notice that those boots ... are actually terribad

your enemy can spam slows 24/7 and they still arent worth to get over the competition... bah you can even slow yourself on top of that and they still arent a good choice to take

when you face a nasus, a gnar or an ashe, guys ... those boots should be an item to consider if not a must buy

They're a pretty good alternative to Mobi's, and when multiple people are taking Frost Queen's Claim it helps a lot with getting away (and obviously good when you need sticking power but they are stacking slows). Boot variety is much better than last season.

Ninja Tabi are a better purchase against Nasus and Ashe due to their dependence on basic attacks and they can't prevent the mitigation. You likely won't be able to escape them with Boots of Swiftness unless you have a dash or blink to prevent them from reapplying their slow.

Boots of Swiftness (and Alacrity) are better for roaming the map, are considerably cheaper than other options, and retain their increased movement speed in-combat (making them preferable over Boots of Mobility on roaming supports to prevent getting caught).

Slows are probably the most common CC in the game. Even excluding Frozen Mallet and Rylai's Crystal Scepter, there will pretty much always be someone on the enemy team capable of slowing you. In addition, +20MS is quite significant for chasing and escaping and roaming.

On Garen they are fabulous, as one of the few things that'll stop a good Garen is slowing him down - if he closes the distance it's a spin to win villain smash.
